got back on the airplane and flew back to Oklahoma because we had a lot of singing to
do and I wanted to do it at home.

Ended up singing the vocal for Nobody But You in Oklahoma at the Lake House.

About the time I got my vocal done and Scott had time to comp it and go through all [F] the
different takes, I think I probably did [C] eight or nine takes of the vocal cause it's a monster
song to sing.

[Am] _ _ _ [C] _ We timed it to [Bb] where Gwen works on Wednesday, Friday, Saturdays in Las [Ebm] Vegas so I was able
to get her to the house on the Thursday on her day off in Oklahoma to record her part
of Nobody But You.

_ It actually worked out really good because her [C] voice is in such great shape right now
because she's working so much out there.
I [F] don't know that I've ever heard her singing any better than she is right [C] now.
It's just a super strong voice right now.
Just so you know and for you to know, not even a dream of mine to be on a Blake Shelton
song but fantasy would be more like better than a dream cause a fantasy is completely unlikely.
A dream can come true, fantasies are just something you just make up in your [Am] brain.
So for you to ask me to be on a song is [C] like_

I'm still learning when it comes to recording with Gwen.
We've only recorded literally a handful of songs together.
But the thing that I think that I'm blown away by with Gwen is just how hard she works
when she gets in the studio.
She's not willing to take anything less than greatness.
And she's willing to put in the work.
I don't care if it means she's got to get [Am] in there and sing until she completely loses her voice.
I [F] don't even [C] breathe.
I don't want to dream.
I don't think Gwen knows how great of a vocalist she really is.
Even Scott Hendricks, there was a time or two when we recorded her that she can't even
hear what he's saying, he'll just lean back and go, wow.
I wanna say [B] it now, wanna make it clear, for only [D] you and God to hear.
When you love someone, they say you set them free.
[Am] And that ain't gonna work for me.
[C] Nice.
When you record a country song like Go Ahead and Break My Heart or Nobody But You, [D] on these
country recordings, there's a lot of focus on that vocal.
And I think it doesn't do anything but shed some great light on Gwen's talent.
You did it.
You won't be able to do your [C] show tomorrow.
[Am] This song reminds me of [C] like,
Take my breath away, or Lady in Red.
Same level.
It reminds me of, don't wanna close my eyes.
[Dm] None of those are hits.
None of those [F] are horrible songs, but I would [C] hate to be on a song like that.
I don't think people have really heard her sing like this before.
