A one, two, [F#] three.
[B] You need the harmony.
That's [F#] it.

To [G] myself, I call The Boy With The Arab Strap my London song.
It was the background of that song being written [C] with the band's first trip to London.
We happened to be touring with a band called Arab Strap that were from [D] Falkirk.
They were terrific.
I'd been unwell for quite a long time, even when I got my group together.
[C] And suddenly, we were in London playing this gig, and I was still unwell.
I was just holding things together mentally and [G] physically.
And I asked to stay at somebody else's house so I could be away from the madness.
Because these guys were staying up all night drinking and stuff, and I just couldn't even be there.
So I kind of felt a little bit out of it.
And I was a [C] spectator, so I wrote this song about the whole London experience.
Because I think I went that day, I remember riding on a bus [G] from Camden to somewhere
and writing most of the song on the bus.
I passed a prison, meaning that that makes it into [C] the song.
And yeah, it was just my London experience of that year.
[D] I'm always kind of naive.
I didn't know what an Arab Strap [G] was.
[D] It absolutely referred to the group.
And it was [G] when I bought my mum
It went gold.
It became a gold record.
I [C] bought it, and my mum will be impressed with this.
So I took one back from my mum and dad.
I said, put that up in the living [G] room.
And then the minister came round or something like that.
And it became a topic of discussion.
[C] And my mum afterwards said, why did you have to call it that?
And I didn't know.
I didn't realise it was a cock ring or whatever.
[D]
Music is absolutely [Bm] the best [G] therapy for me.
It's just
Over the years, that was absolutely
It kind of
A crutch for me all the time.
I never wrote before I got sick.
[C] I couldn't write for toffee.
And then suddenly when you're unwell and everything else goes [G] away
And then music arrived and that's when I started writing.
So that's really all I had.
[C] But it continues to be that to this day.
I'm looking forward to
We're looking forward to recording [G] in Atlanta.
And I said to Stevie, I just hope
I'm treating this as a six-week therapy session.
To get the new songs down.
And if you don't feel that way about songs
If there's nothing going into them like that
Then you shouldn't bother, I think.
