[Am] Let me tell y [F]'all, we just can't get enough of the band of [D] Heathens album Sunday Morning
Record here on the show.
It's a [Bb] diverse journey that musically [C] chronicles a really good band during a period of transition.
[Bb] We're big fans of the result.
[C]
Here's another highlight [G] from that project [C] called Shake the Foundation.
Shake the [D] Foundation [C] was, [Bb]
[Gm] I was in [F] kind of an early [C] batch of recording.
[Bb] You get a batch of songs and you try [C] to [Gm] put together which ones go together and which [Dm] ones don't.
And I felt like the record needed some energy [Bb] like that.
[G]
We were kind of [Dm] messing around with a little bit [C] of stuff.
There's [Gm] definitely some kind of more psychedelic moments.
We're just [G] kind of trying to integrate a lot of the stuff that we've [Dm] just assembled over [C] the years.
You know, you kind of like, we do a record and you learn a bunch and [Bb] then you tour and
play those [Gm] songs and you learn a bunch more.
And it's like, okay, [Dm] well how do you bring the new elements into [G] what you're doing and
put them in the context of a song on a record, you know?
And [C] just kind of messing around with some effects and just [G] going for some [C] cool sonic stuff.
It's just, you know, a little ear [Gm] candy that kind of [C] hooks you in, gets you interested.
[Bb] Just kind of, there's lots of change [C] in the air and decided to kind of capture it in a song.
