Hi, I'm [D] Al Padaway.
I'm here at the Holmes Fun Studios and
[Gm] Glad to be back.
They do such a great job [Bb] here
And I'm just [B] you know really excited that they want me to come [Eb] back and do another
episode [B] of the Appalachian finger [A] style guitar
Because it's not a linear thing.
It's not like going [G] and [Dbm]
so the scale from a [A] G
Get that much of the melody is [B] two open strings
Two fingered strings on [Bbm] the fourth and third frets [Em] and then coming [G] back
So really it's this chord, but [Db] you're playing it like this because this string has been tuned down a whole [C] step now
So we come from this G [G] position
And then [C] C and the melody here goes
[G]
[C] But my basic chord [B] can just stay [C] locked in
[D]
You can see I'm using those open [G] strings
And [D]
[A] then we come back to this G, but we [G] fill it out
Just like that where we started
So here's the B section again.
You can see [Eb] I instead of using [Gb] this position.
[C] I'm switching to this position
We're really playing the same basic chord G
And then the B note [B] and then I'm using these [Bb] fingers for [G] melody
[C] [G]
