Hey, what's up guys?
My name is Ashley Jelow and I'm here to do a guitar lesson for All That Matters by Justin Bieber
I have been getting crazy crazy crazy amounts of emails to do a tutorial for this song.
So
I'm just here to serve you Beliebers
um
I am going to just play through it a couple times and then I'll show you how to play
All [Ab]
[Dbm] [Bb]
[Dbm] [Ab] [Dbm]
[A]
[Ab] [Dbm]
[Bb] [Dbm] [Ab]
[A] [E]
[E]
right
So the first thing you're going to do is take your first finger and you're going to bar the ninth fret
Of the d g b and e string, okay, and that is a c sharp minor seven chord
Okay, so you're gonna strum
strum down and then
Put a little stank on it smack it or whatever you want to call it.
I don't know you just kind of so
[A] Okay after you do that slap you're gonna go right [E] to the a
Major seven chord.
Okay.
So again, you're at c sharp minor seven
Okay, [A]
you're gonna do [Gb] that on each chord strum it and then kind of slap it
All right to play a major seven chord
Take your first finger put it on the fifth fret of the low e string
Take your middle finger put it on the fifth fret of the b string
Take your ring finger put it on the sixth fret of the d string
And then take your pinky and put it on the sixth fret of the g string.
Okay, and [A] it sounds like this
Okay, um, so after you play that chord
[Abm] You're gonna do that slap thing again not hitting the high e string on that chord.
Okay, [Bm] so so far we got
[E]
[A] [G] [Ab]
[D] I'm moving to an a flat dominant chord.
I'm not gonna get into
All the theory and all that stuff.
I'm just gonna refer to it as a flat dominant chord for now
Um, take your first finger and bar the fourth fret
um, take your
Middle finger put it on the fifth fret of the g string
Take your ring finger
And put it on the
Sixth fret of the a [Dm] string.
Okay, and then you're going to take your pinky and put it on the seventh fret
Of the b [Ab] string.
All right, so you got
[B] Okay
Now remember just because I just explained it it'll be easier the second time we come around and repeat those chords
You're going to take your pinky and you're going to bar
the
B and the e string
Okay, i'll explain that later.
But just [Ab] while i'm here I'm
Those are the two [B] voicings
All right.
[E] So so far we got
[A] [C] first voicing
And then you're [Dbm] gonna go
You're gonna go to us back to the c sharp minor seven
But instead of here you're gonna play it here on the fourth fret
You're gonna take your first finger and bar the a d g b and e string
Place your middle finger on the fifth fret of the b string
Place your ring finger on the sixth fret of the d string
[E] [A] all right, so
Um so far the first part you got
[E] [A]
[Dbm] [Ab]
Okay, [Ab] the second part is is the same except for two chords.
Okay, so you're starting again with the c sharp [Dbm] minor
Now you're gonna put a passing chord right before [Bb] the a major seven
[A] Okay, and [Gb] i'm just going to refer to that [Bb] as a b flat dominant chord.
All right
[A]
All right, so you're going to take your first finger.
You're going to put it on the sixth fret of the low e string
Take your middle finger put it on the sixth fret of the d string
Take your ring finger put it on the seventh fret of the g string
Take your pinky and put it on the seventh fret of the b [Bb] string
Okay, then you're gonna go back to that a major seven.
[Bm] So
[Dbm]
[B] See that i'm gonna put that together
[E] And
[A] [N] then remember I told you the second time instead of having just your pinky on the um,
Seventh fret of the b string you're gonna bar actually the seventh fret of the b [Ab] and e string
[Dbm] All right
so [D] that is the second part and then there's just [Ab] a
Okay, um, i'm just I just have my first finger on the
fourth fret of the g string and my middle finger on the fourth fret of the high e string
and i'm
Grabbing the the g string and the e string i'm [E] grabbing
[Bm] And sliding up to the seventh fret, all right, um, so now i'm going from the fourth fret
[Bb] To the seventh fret, okay
So at the seventh fret you got your first finger on the seventh fret [Ab] of the g string
And your middle finger on the seventh fret of the high e string
[A] Okay, [Dm] so i'm gonna put that together [Dbm] really slowly
[Ab]
[A] [Dbm] [Abm]
[Bm]
All right, and then it repeats throughout the whole song, all right, so I hope that that helps I know that that's
Kind of more challenging if you're not used to playing bar chords
And kind of spreading your fingers like that, but just keep working on it and you'll get it later

[E] So so far we got _

But instead of here you're gonna play it here on the fourth fret

Take your middle finger put it on the sixth fret of the d string
Take your ring finger put it on the seventh fret of the g string
Take your pinky and put it on the seventh fret of the b [Bb] string _
_ _ _ _ _ _ Okay, then you're gonna go back to that a major seven.
[Bm] So
_ [Dbm] _ _
[B] See that i'm gonna put that together
[E] And _ _ _
[A] _ _ _ _ [N] then remember I told you the second time instead of having just your pinky on the um,
Seventh fret of the b string you're gonna bar actually the seventh fret of the b [Ab] and e string
_ _ [Dbm] _ _ All right
so [D] that is the second part and then there's just [Ab] a _ _ _ _
Okay, um, i'm just I just have my first finger on the
fourth fret of the g string and my middle finger on the fourth fret of the high e string
and i'm
Grabbing the the g string and the e string i'm [E] grabbing
_ [Bm] _ And sliding up to the seventh fret, all right, um, so now i'm going from the fourth fret
_ [Bb] To the seventh fret, okay
So at the seventh fret you got your first finger on the seventh fret [Ab] of the g string
And your middle finger on the seventh fret of the high e string
[A] Okay, [Dm] so i'm gonna put that together [Dbm] really slowly _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [Ab] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[A] _ _ _ [Dbm] _ _ _ [Abm] _ _
_ _ _ _ [Bm] _ _ _
All right, and then it repeats throughout the whole song, all right, so I hope that that helps I know that that's
Kind of more challenging if you're not used to playing bar chords
And kind of spreading your fingers like that, but just keep working on it and you'll get it later _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
