_ _ [F] _ And I got invited by [A] Nancy Griffith [G] to come sing on her [Gb] really amazing record,
I [N] listened to that again recently, All the Voices, All the Voids. _ _ _ _
_ That was masterpiece. _ _ _
_ _ _ _ And she had been a big fan of Kate's, and _ she did this _ _ wonderful song called Across the Great [Eb] Divide. _
_ And [Bb] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ I didn't get [Eb] invited to sing on that one, Amy O [Bb]'Hara's got that one, but [N] _ I got to,
_ _ _ _ right after that Nancy invited me to tour with her. _ _ _
_ I had been a big fan, and of course I was just starting out, it was kind of one of these unbelievable things. _ _
And so I got to go out on the road for [F] eight weeks and we sang the song every [B] night.
_ _ [G] And _ Nancy poured her heart into what she was [N] doing, and she left a great body of work behind for all of us.
And so did Kate, and [Bb] _ _ so did John [N] Bryan, and so did so many others. _
And it's _ just a pleasure to walk here [Ab] with all the [F] other humans, isn't it?
Well, I said all, [N] didn't I?

_ _ I really do want to get there. _
