Let's take a look at this Taisho Goto made by Zenon, a company that makes half Gotos.
This is basically a typewriter harp with typewriter keys that press against a fretboard underneath that controls the pitch.
There are five strings, three sizes, low G, mid G, and high G's.
This is an acoustic electric version.
You can plug in your amps here.
There are two controls, one for the volume, the other one for the tone.
Those are the hooks for the strings and the bridge.

It's made of solid wood with a very nice glossy finish.
