Hey viewers, it's Ben Chan.
I do realize today is not Saturday, but I decided to make a video to thank all of you
because today we signed up our first advertiser on Chamber Hymns.
His name is Dan and he runs SelectViolins.com. Now, he's a violin seller and
for those of you who don't know this, when I was 11 or 12, I bought, or my parents bought me my first full-size violin.
It was $2,500 and that was, you know, 15 years ago.
But I gotta tell you, spending that much money on a violin was well, well worth it.
In fact, from age 11 to age 22,
I played that same violin.
That's 11 years for 2,500 bucks and it got me to [N] Allstate, it got me to All Eastern,
it got me to All Nationals in school.
In fact, I'm wearing my All Nationals shirt from MENC and
also got me through two years of my college experience and I won one of the violin competitions using that violin, 2,500 bucks.
Now, Dan on his website has a violin that's about $1,000.
I want to see if one of you YouTubers can get your parents to buy that $1,000 violin within the next three months.
I think this is very important because
what you invest in is what you get out of it.
And so if you're gonna invest in a good violin, you'll learn how to play the violin better.
This violin is a little bit more expensive than $2,500, believe me, but it also helps me
immensely.
So you can't get by [A] with just a nice violin, but a violin can teach you a lot of things.
So remember that.
Also today, go and vote because voting is closed, but I changed the system.
Now only the top two entries are locked.
All the rest of them you can still vote for.
So if you want your sheet music to win, get your friends and family to sign up for accounts as well and have them go on every day,
vote for a sheet music column or entry and then also watch some videos.
A lot of my YouTube videos are now on there.
I realize that's a lot of talking, so I better make this video worth it.
So I'm going to play for you
Yankee [D] Doodle and I'm going to show you how I would practice Yankee Doodle if it were a continuous [A] practice session from slow to fast.
