_ _ _ At the beginning of this, it was proposed that they would learn some of the music to
be able to accompany Leila Nambrini.
And so these are two very extensive songs, as you've seen, very complicated parts.
And I went to rehearsals and they got it right away, the first evening.
And then I talked to Angie later and she said, you know, well, we're learning Yaraya too. _ _
_ _ _ And Daradurafina, we learned that.
And this was two weeks ago, three weeks ago.
Is there anything else they could do?
_ _ So I joked that I felt like a mama bird.
We were having to find more worms to stuff down them.
So they also learned Mustafa Ya Mustafa.
And I would say that this ensemble would not be so strong if it weren't for the support
of the Arabic Flagship Program that provided a scholarship so that Angie Hamoui could act
as a teaching assistant.
And it's her stewardship with the support of Julie Slim Nassif [D] that has made this an
amazing choir this [N] semester. _ _
