Hi Truthsong family, this is Janine coming back to you after a year of being MIA.
I'm really sorry about that.
As you can see behind me, part of that reason is that our family is a homeschool family
and that has taken up a lot of our time, my time to be exact.
Just teaching our four girls here at home.
Of course also Xander works a 40 hour work week and we also do stuff on the side.
I travel part time and we also lead worship at our church twice a month.
So between all of that, juggling the different things in our schedule,
we have just kind of let Truthsongs fall to the wayside a bit.
Again, I'm so sorry.
So this is kind of an off the cuff version of a Truthsong video.
I thought, you know what, it's been so long that I feel like we're kind of desperate to try to get some new music out to you guys.
So forgive the craziness and my explanation.
If that makes any sense to you, I hope it does.
Anyway, this Truthsong is from 2 Corinthians 4, verses 16-18.
And the story behind that is that actually a while ago, a few years ago,
our amazing pastor Steve Berger at Grace Chapel messaged me and said,
Hey, I have a Truthsong idea for you.
You guys should write a song on this.
And I did and never recorded it.
I don't even think I have a voice memo of it.
So I thought I'd do that one since it's a powerful scripture.
I'm sure all scripture is powerful, but this is that one and I hope you like it.
[A] [B]
[C#m] [E] [A]
[B] [E] [B]
[E] Though outwardly [B] we are wasting [C#m] away, wasting [E] [G#m] away,
[A] yet [B] inwardly we are [E] being renewed day by day.
For [A] our light and [B] momentary [C#m] troubles are achieving for [E] us
an eternal [Bm]
[E] glory [A] that far outweighs [Em] them all.
[B]
[Em] So [F#m] we fix our [E] eyes [C#m] not on what is seen, [G#m] [C#m] [A] but on what is [E] unseen.
For [F#m] what is [Em] seen [B] is [C#m] temporary, [A] but what [E] is unseen is eternal.
Therefore we do not lose heart.
[B] Do [C#m] not lose heart
[A] Therefore we do [E] not lose heart.
[B] We do not [C#m] lose heart.
[A] Therefore [E] we do not lose heart.
So do [C#m] not lose [E] heart.
Therefore we do not lose heart.
[B]
Do [C#m] not lose [E] heart.
[A]
That's it.
Hopefully more truth songs coming your way.
Thanks for watching and if this encourages you, please pass it along to somebody that might
