So today, apparently, Cats the musical
is being made into a movie and Taylor Swift is in it.
So I really am excited to check out this trailer.

I'm not sure what to, I don't know what I'm gonna think.
I don't know what's gonna happen.
This is shocking to me.
This is just, the concept of this is just shocking.
I don't know how it's gonna work.
Cats is a Broadway musical that you go into
knowing that it's people in costumes.
That's what's fun about it.
And they interact with the audience and that's fun.
This in movie format, what are they gonna do?
If anybody doesn't know,
Cats is the musical that has that song that goes,

Let me just get this out of the way really quick.
Something that really bothers me about Hollywood is,
_ is my foundation on point?
Something that bothers me about
these Hollywood productions of musicals
is that they try a lot of times to jam pack
as many household or star names as they can
into the musical when they don't necessarily belong there.
I personally just don't think
that Taylor Swift is a musical singer.
I don't know yet.
We're gonna have to wait and see how this goes.
[Ebm] Why don't they just hire musical singers
if they're gonna make a musical movie?
Every vocal coach in the world,
they're always wondering why don't they just hire
like real musical actors that have played these roles?
Wouldn't that make sense?
But especially if it's CGI,
like I can't even tell that that's Taylor Swift. _

_ _ [F] Jennifer Hudson sounds amazing though.

_ _ _ This singer's amazing.

[B] I gotta say though,
a lot of people were comparing this to the Sonic CGI
and I don't think it's nearly as bad.
It does look kind of strange,
_ _ but I do think that this is gonna be a [A] successful movie
and I think that it has [A] potential.
It's kind of strange.
_ I also gotta say,
I really don't wanna make this a race thing,
but the cats can be any color that they want, right?
You don't gotta make the white people white cats
and you don't gotta make the black people black cats
and James Corden doesn't need to be a fat cat.
_ I mean, they could be any shape or color that they want.
You know what I'm saying?
But I don't know.
It's like they're trying to make the cats
to look like the person, but that's not,
why would you want that?
I don't understand.
_ I don't wanna see _ Jennifer Hudson as a cat.
I don't.
I've never seen Jennifer Hudson perform
and thought to myself,
this would be so much better if she looked like a cat.
_ Same thing with Taylor Swift.

I think that they should have hired me.
