Vocal Coach Reaction to thank u, next - Ariana Grande chords
Start Jamming...
Yo, what's good Tristan's and Tristfam?
So today we've got Thank You, Next by Ariana Grande.
Like one of the most frustrating parts about doing what I do on YouTube is like I can't listen to these songs
when they come out.
I have to like
save my reaction to it for a video and it's just you know what being a youtuber is just so stressful.
I'm losing my mind.
Okay.
Anyway, I am a vocal coach.
I'm gonna be reviewing this song as a vocal coach, but also of course like there's lyrics in this shit
and there's other things to be interested in.
Sometimes people are like, but you're a vocal coach
and you're talking about more things than just being vocal.
Yeah, bitch, because I'm interested in her life.
Okay, and I'm interested in the lyrics.
So don't enough.
Okay, I'll review it however I damn well want.
I'll review it as a vocal coach and I'll review it as lyrics.
I don't know about y'all but I had gum ass beat before.
But I'm primarily gonna be approaching this as a vocal coach because I'm a vocal coach.
But anyway, be sure you check out my Instagram
and my Twitter.
Let's just jump into it.
I have not heard any of this.
I've been avoiding it like [Ebm] the plague.
[F] Okay, [Ab] a little bit spooky, but upbeat.
[Db] It sounds retro.
[Ebm]
[F] [Ab]
[Db] [Ebm]
[F] Ooh, that's [E] funky.
You know what this reminds me of y'all?
Like, okay, wait, [F] hold on.
It reminds me of one of these 80s remixes.
[A] [D] [B]
I am [Bbm] just living for it.
Okay, let's continue.
[Db] [Gb] That's touching.
[F] [Bbm]
[Db]
[Ebm] [F] [Bbm]
[Eb] [Ebm]
[F] [Bbm]
[Db] Oh, [Ebm]
[Fm] okay. Right?
[Bbm]
[Db] [Ebm]
Okay, okay.
So first of all, I love- oh my god.
This is one of my favorites.
Like, I like this more than God is a Woman.
I love that she's doing like more vibey music.
Like, this is so vibey and I love the 80s vibe and I love just like the- it's almost underproduced if that makes sense.
Like, I love it.
Like, I love how this sounds.
I mean, like there's just enough production in it for it to sound like a record, but at the same time sound authentic.
And like it's- I'm living for this.
I feel like more and more this music is starting to come from her heart.
Especially- I just- I love it.
And I- another thing that is just very very smart of her is that she's taking the drama
surrounding her with Pete [Abm] Davidson and whatever the heck is going on with that.
Okay, we're not even gonna touch that.
But she's taking that drama and she's turning it into something positive in every possible way.
This is really cool and I really appreciate how this is done.
She's [F] not lashing out, but she's taking it and turning it into art.
And I think that's amazing.
So far no high notes or anything and in terms of like vocal analysis,
she's just being Ariana Grande.
Okay, y'all.
I've got lots of other videos where I talk about how she's doing what she's doing.
Which is just sort of like she sings from a very light place, much lighter than you might think.
I ain't worried about nothing.
And that's really it.
And then she kind of darkens it with like sort of like a drunk jaw.
I ain't worried about nothing.
Pretty just Ariana.
Nothing's changed.
[Bbm] [Db]
[Gb] [F]
[Bbm] [Db] [Bbm]
[Db] I want [Ebm] to see what happens with this bridge [F] here.
I wonder if she's gonna go for some like
high notes or she's gonna keep it vibey.
[Db] [Gb] I have a dragon eye.
[F] [Abm] Like her tone is so like not in a negative way, but it's very nasal.
If anyone's trying to get the same sound,
like you can literally hear the sound in her nose on this word.
And I don't think that's a bad thing, by the way.
Not at all.
I think it's very stylistic and I think it's very interesting what she does.
I have a dragon [Db] eye.
[Gb] I have a dragon eye.
She's not even really pronouncing the words.
Which some people criticize her for, but I actually really like it because I think it's like very vibey
and very like, I don't know.
It's relatable.
I don't know how else to describe it.
It's like,
yeah, but anyway that-
[Fm] It's very just like she's almost singing like she's got a drunk jaw,
but at the same time there's a lot of sound coming out of her nose and it's very light.
So
[F] that's her thing.
[Bbm] No tea, no shade.
I love [Db] it.
[Gb]
[F] [Ab]
Cause she grew [Db] from the drama
Only one to [Ebm] do it was real bad.
Call me [F] cause she's last
Got fucked if [Bbm] something happens
[Db] At least this song is a smash
At least [Gb]
[Fm] this song is a smash, that's amazing
[Bbm]
[Db] [Gb] I want more [F] of this
[Gb]
[Db]
[Ebm] [F] I like that little squeak she does there
[Bbm] [Db]
[Ebm] [F] So it's this is amazing like apparently this is her next album like I think this is the album title for it
I mean, I can't believe that she's putting out so much music and doing it so quickly
I don't even know the last time I saw an artist do this sort of a thing
Usually they there's like they pump out an album and then it's oftentimes years until the next one
And she's just jumping right into the next one.
I think that's so cool.
I think that's so cool
I love her work ethic.
I love her artistry.
I love the tone of her voice
I love how stylistic she is and I love what she's doing
different with music that other people aren't doing and I also of course love that she's taking like the
Personal drama and whatever if you want to call it that and turning it into art so that I mean people talk shit about her
and she just turns it into
Profit, oh, I don't know if I should say that
But it's true.
I admire her as a vocalist
I admire her as an artist and I admire her as a businesswoman because she's very very smart
If you do want more of an in-depth analysis on her voice, I have lots of different videos on that
I'm also going to be putting out a video pretty soon where I analyze a fan singing and I help them get ariana grande's tone
In like 15 minutes it is lit.
So be sure that you subscribe if you want to see more
In-depth vocal analyses like that.
Be sure you like this video if you like this video and until next time tristans and tristfam peace
