That was just absolutely incredible
Two great things about that which I loved in particular
The musicianship was on a very very high level in terms of [A] performance and technical ability
Great!
But also the song itself
Like the chords, the notes, the melody choices was just joyful and funky as fuck
[G#m] Like it had everything
Because here's the problem
If you have a _ band _ like Snarky Puckby which I've reacted to recently
With incredible musicianship and is mind-blowing
But it is_
_ Don't hate me but maybe too much
Maybe it's too much about look how good I am at playing my instrument
And less about let's also just make a great song you're gonna love
Do you know what I mean?
Like it's less of an instrumental piece and more of like this is a song that is also in itself in its own right a bit of a banger Right?
That's what this had in my opinion
Follow the Light had unbelievable musicianship from everyone across the board
The brass section, the singer, keyboard play very nice and tight
The bass I'll get to

_ Guitarist, drums, everyone's exceptional
Absolutely masterful job
And the song was funky
And it took me on a bit of a journey
And it sort of swelled up and there was a key change towards the end which was just like Ah!

But the fucking bass
If someone can play bass really really well
As that gentleman clearly can
It's just another level
There's something so special about
It's kind of like sorcery to me
I don't know because I don't know what the technique is to do like slap bass bits and pieces
But [N] that's sort of like triplet On the
I don't know how he does it
But it sounds incredible
It's sort of like a mashup of the drum and bass
You know the rhythm section right?
You've got the percussive element of the bass along with the notes he's hitting
Just a match made in heaven
Drummer was really funky and tight and amazing
Fills were very enjoyable

_ It did just look like he had a kick drum pedal on a stand

Which was quite a choice
