Alright, this is my tutorial on how to play How Deeply I Need You by Shekinah Glory Ministry.
This song is in the key of F.
And it begins on an F9 [F] chord.
[C] [F] So I give my life, [Db] [C] and the F9 chord is [G] G, [C] A, C, and E to a [Dm] D minor chord.
And that's A, C, D, and F.
And all I do is move that up.
[Gm]
And this is a G minor chord, and we're just doubling.
This is G minor 7, but we're putting the minor 3rd on the top as [G] well.
So it's G in the bass, double octaves of G in the bass, [Gm] and then we're going to play
B flat, E flat, [Bb] F, and B [Gm] flat in your right hand.
[C] And [Bm] then this last [Db] chord is C [Bb] major [C] 9.
So it's C, C and C in the bass, [Em] and D, E, and G in [C] your right hand.
And then you just repeat that [Dm] phrase.
[Am] I give my [Dm] life,
[D] I give it [Gm] Lord to you, [G]
[C] [Am]
here is my [Dm] heart.
I think I have the words backwards, [Bb] but, [C]
okay?
Do that four times, and then on the last time, instead of playing the C chord at the end,
you [A] play an [Bb]
[E] A7 with a flat [A] 9.
And that's A in the bass, [G] A, [Gm] B flat, [Bbm] C [A] sharp, and E.
[E] Okay?
And then we go [Dm] to our D chord, D minor chord, [Gm] to our G flat, I mean, G minor chord, [Bb]
[C] to our
C chord again.
[Em] [Bb] [A]
[Bb] And now that walk [B] down is just B, [Bb] [A] B flat, A.
[B] [A] [Bb]
So this is what we have so far.
[C] [Dm]
[Gm]
[Dm] [C]
[A] [Dm]
[Gm]
[C]
[A] All right, in this song, they have a walk down that happens during this [B]
part of the song.
So it [Dm] goes,
[Gm] [C]
[B] [A]
all right, it comes on the bass.
[D] Do, [Bm] do, [D] do, do, [C] do, [D] do, [E] do, do, [D] do, do, do, do, [F] do, [E] do, do, [D] do, do,
[Gm] do, do, do, do, do,
Okay, and that comes in, it comes in [A] right after [Bb]
that turnaround A9.
So it's like [A] A7 with a flat 9, and it [D] goes [E] D, [F] E, F, [E] E, [D]
D, A, [G] [A] G, A, [F] [E] F, E, [D]
D, A, and then
on the G, you play the G [Gm] minor chord.
[A]
[Bm] Okay?
So [Dm] it comes in.
[D] [Gm]
[C]
[D] [A] [Dm]
[E] [D] [Dm] [D]
[Gm]
I'm usually not playing it like that.
It's a little harder to play it slow, but [N] bear with me.
And the next part is the end, which is like the vamp, and it goes like the ocean needs
this, like the rivers need, the desert needs, whatever.
It basically just repeats.
So it goes, [G] and this is kind of like offbeat.
So it's the [Gm] bass.
So it's like the bass, then [A] the chord.
[Dm]
[Bb] [C]
[Gm] [F] [Bb]
[C] [Gm]
[Dm] [Bb] [C]
[Gm] [F] [Bb]
[F] Okay, so [Gm] that's just our B flat chord, or G minor chord.
[Bb]
[D] [A] [Am]
And this is an A minor 7, and [A] that's A in the bass, A, [Am] C, E, I'm sorry, A, C, and G.
[Bb] And then our B flat chord.
You can play the B flat 9 if you like, [F] which is C, E, and F.
[Bb]
[C] And you can play [D] the C major, or you can [C] play the C minor here, it doesn't matter.
But that's all it [Gm] is.
[Dm] [Bb]
[C] [Gm] [Dm]
[Bb] [C] And then just to go [F] back to the [C] beginning, you can just play a C major [Gm] 11.
[F] And that's F, [Bb] B flat, C, and F, with a C in the bass.
[C] And then that takes you right back to the beginning, [Dm] which [Am] is that F minor, I mean F
major,
[C] F, [F] F9.
[Dm]
[Gm]
[G] [C] [Dm]
[Bb] [F] [Dm]
[Bb] [Gm]
[C] [Dm] [Em] This [N] song has a lot more little small pieces in it, but this is basically the gist of the song.
I don't really want to try to get into teaching all the small little melody notes, because
it's the feel that you [B] get when you play the song, and it's something that you want to
have your own way.
So hopefully this gives you the basic chords, and you can play around with it, and hopefully
that helps out with what you're trying to do.
So good luck, and I hope it [Bb] works out for you.
[G]
