I'm going to play a little bit of the original.
Could [Gm] [G]
you give us a little intro here, Tut, before you take off?
Take off on the resonator guitar, I mean?
Well, you know, I want to play with a flat pick, okay?
And here it is, folks, a genuine flat pick, Tut Taylor original.
So you want me to pick something?
I'd be more than grateful.
Really pick.
Really pick.
But tell us about this tune you're going to pick.
Well, over in Ternova, Slovakia, every year they have a Dobrofest.
[N] They invite Dobro players to come over and play, and they invited me over a couple of times.
And Ternova, Slovakia, is near where the Dopiero brothers migrated from.
They lived in that area, came to America, and later developed this wonderful instrument called a Dobro.
Now, Dobro is a great name.
It was five Dopiero brothers, so they shortened it.
They took D-O for Do, B-R-O for brothers, put it together, made Dobro.
But Dobro in the Slavic language means good.
But also over there is five different ways to spell and pronounce Dobro.
So Dobro is really a Slovakian word.
Yeah, I can't even say it.
That's too bad they made a trademark out of it.
Yes.
Yes.
Very.
Well, would you take it away for us, then?
A little blues?
