Hey this is [Gb] Josh Singletary with Tribute Quartet.
We sure hope you're enjoying Tribute Quartet's
latest single, I Call It Home, written by Squire Parsons and available on Quartet Tribute
Volume 2 on Daywind Records recording label.
As many of you know this song means a lot
to me.
It has a lot of meaning.
Squire had a large presence in our home growing up and
a lot of influence on [E] me.
My father used to sing a lot of his songs, particularly this
one.
So when we got a chance to record it, it really meant a lot to me.
I was very excited
and jumped at it very quickly.
But we got a chance to sit down with Squire Parsons and
talk to him a little bit about this song.
But stick around because after it we'll perform
the song for you.
I hope you enjoy it.
[Db]
I love my home over here in Leicester, outside Asheville here.
Nothing like finishing, traveling
and seeing, as Dottie said, the lights of home.
And nothing like going home, coming
to the gorge over here.
You rode the bus many times and you know those curves all right.
You know what's coming up.
That tunnel's coming up.
I'm soon going to be home, you know.
And
it just was such a blessing.
The home that we live in, the home church that God gives
us.
Sometimes when that personal home that we live in, the house, it may not be what
we want it to be.
Well that's why God gave us the church.
Because many times we find
in the church the greater love for some people than they find in their home.
Or they find
that which makes the home what it should be.
And I thank the Lord for that.
Hey, I've lived
in a motor home.
I've lived in a mobile home.
But someday I'm going to be making my last
move into that heavenly home.
When I think of heaven, oh I can think of a mansion.
And
I can think, I've been in some nice places in some of the tours.
And my wife would say,
honey, keep your hands in your pocket.
Don't knock anything over, you know.
Some places
are so nice that you're afraid to move.
Heaven is going to be the most grand and glorious
place.
We're not going to have to put our hands in our pocket.
We're going to be to
where we can relax.
We're going to be home with the Father, with the Son, with the Holy
Ghost, the Holy Triune God, and then all of the redeemed down through the ages.
[Bbm] Yeah.
Home.
[Cm] [Bbm] Some call it heaven.
Praise God I call it home.
