Hello [D] everyone today, I'm gonna play Cliff [A] Burton's top 10 [D] hardest bass [A] lines and solos.
For anyone who [G] doesn't know
[Dm] Cliff Burton [C] was the former bassist for [D] Metallica and [Am] widely considered to be one of [Eb] the greatest [D] if not [Am] the greatest
Metal bassists of all [G] time.
The first [Em] time I ever heard Cliff [D] was actually the first CD I ever [C] bought which [D] was Ride the Lightning
I often think [Am] Cliff was to bass as [Bm] Jimi Hendrix [E] was to guitar
But just a [A] lot more metal but in [E] a similar way [Dm] to Hendrix Cliff would often take a long
[D] Unaccompanied [A] often fairly improvised solos at live shows and with his innovative playing [D] completely changed the way [Am] people think [A] of bass
[Em]
[G]
[D] [Em]
[Cm] [F] [E] [G] Tragically Cliff died in a [C] bus crash in [Dm] 1986, [Em] but in those three years with [Fm] Metallica
He did so much to help [E] shape their sound
Apparently [F] teaching [Ab] James and Kirk a lot of his classical music theory knowledge [Em] and also [D] co-writing about half the songs
I'm gonna be using this dark glass aggressively distorting advanced machine today to play Cliff Burton's top 10
hardest bass lines and solos

If you're wondering how I got that nice distorted [C] tone [E] a lot of it is down to this guy [Am] right here [E] the dark glass
Aggressively [Em] distorted advanced machine.
This pedal is great.
If you want a wide variety of heavily distorted sounds
There's a lot of controls on it that [C] allow you to [E] shape your sound exactly the way you want it
You've got a range of compression ratios from [Fm] 4 to [G] 1 to 20 to 1 and finally all in your [Bb] five different distortion [E] modes
Ranging from mild and [G] articulate to fuzz sound that almost sound [Em] like a synth
You also have a compression knob that keeps the signal driven at the [G] right level
[Bb] Drive knob a [E] character knob that adjusts the tone of the [Em] distortion a blend knob [E] that allows you to mix in some of your
[B] Unprocessed signal with its [E] or shun [Em] and finally a level knob and if that wasn't already [Am] enough control
[E] You've got these touch sensitive [A] EQ sliders [E] and an impulse [G] response library of hundreds [E] of bass and guitar
Cabinets and finally it was designed in Finland.
So, you know, it's gonna be good.
Anyway, I really like this pedal for metal
