I think we're I think we're pretty interested in making guitar like I mean, you know because
But we we also we're not trying to be a throwback or be retro about it
_ Trying to just do something because that's the stuff we listen to and we listen to some new bands
But [E] you know, we kind of got [Abm] to the point on this record where [Db] we thought we were
_ Pretty decent instrumentally and as players and so we tried to make an [D] album that
[G] Showed that off a little bit more.
[Bb] They're very good instrumentally.
Okay, and everyone's sort of
_ [N] adds something to like albums like a lot of the guys sing for example, you're just saying that song
_ _ Instrumentals vocals and so yeah, how do you decide who's gonna do what do what?
Is there like a veto man in the band?
No, not really No
We've all kind of taken the past few years to learn different instruments
So Rob [Bb] played a lot of piano and keyboards [B] on the record played a little bit of pedal steel
Ian played guitar and we all did [Bbm] percussion and stuff and so
It's just sort of like we throw [A] as much as we can at it and then see [Ab] what works and just subtract
It's the [N] idea, you know, and whoever good approach.

I've heard you you hang out you crash you shack up with Chris Murphy
We've been shacking up there right now, you know, I plunge it right before we got here

_ Minneapolis, well, we're going out mostly through Canada, but on the way back rather than play
Thunder [Ab] Bay twice and Winnipeg twice
We decided that we'd go like Minneapolis Chicago Buffalo a lot of the border towns where you know
We have some few fans very good.

Major labels back to indie now you were you were calling the music industry something at one time

I [N] mean, you know, I don't particularly like doing a lot of whole business is fine
but it's not the most enjoyable part of it and so dealing with all that all those aspects of it are
_ Necessary for us to continue on our mission which is to play music
But it's also kind of discouraging sometimes when you [Ab] find yourself thinking more about like Oh
[G] Global a lot [N] record label a or so what's nice about this record is it's out
The labels good and we can just play the music rather talk about you know
The business yeah, and it is very good again very [Db] good
I'm waiting for it's out there now
We're gonna check out the latest video from it from the back of the film
