Matt, Juan, how are you?
What's up, dude?
I'm back from the north.
How's it been with the gold mining?
Dude, I'm getting gold, man.
We'll see how much I get at the end, but
I got a week off.
My son's at camp, so
I wanted to run over here and
try to attempt another recording.
What do you think?
Good, let's do it, man.
Just relax, get some more music done.
Yeah.
Why not?
Well, any kind of pointers you can give me
from, so I can take it up a notch
from last time, because last time
dude, I gotta be honest with you, I was nervous
and it was hard to
like, just
calm myself down and sing.
Just don't overthink it, man.
Just don't overthink it.
Just relax a bit,
listen to drums a little, you know, anytime you're feeling
like maybe you get that thing where you start
to go into a line and you feel that hesitation or
something that like drags you, you know, you're feeling
that last time, or the trembling,
just remember to breathe a nice good breath in between lines
and let the line come out through a nice
steady outlet of that breath.
And as far as timing and stuff,
just focus in on little aspects of the drum kit
or whatever you gotta do to just kind of
get your back in.
I think my timing, you know, I had some issues
with that.
Yeah, timing and tension in the throat.
Just my voice, you know, it's like I wanna
hit that note, I know how to hit that note,
but maybe the nerves or whatever.
Timing, tension, and throat.
And remembering to support down here, you know, when you're singing
you're gonna wanna take that breath, but then
you should feel a little bit of a flex as your
lines are coming out.
So that'll help
keep it steady.
Think of each line as
Feel your flex with my flex.
I know it's down there somewhere.
[C] I have a six-pack in there somewhere.
There's a [G] diaphragm in there somewhere.
Right now I got a keg.
Still a diaphragm somewhere, just gotta dig in there and find it.
Okay, man.
We covered Stain.
I'm gonna attempt a Collective Soul
song.
Yeah, the world I know, right?
Yeah, the world I know.
So I'm gonna try
it.
I don't know,
we'll see how it goes.
I'm gonna
give her an
attempt.
Yeah, man.
Well, let's try to top it,
man.
Do better than you did last [Eb] time.
I'm all set up.
Get headphones.
Absolutely.
Ready to rock?
Yeah, we're good.
It's good, man.
We'll hop in there and get you all
wired up.
Okay.
Just give me a few minutes
and then fire it up.
[Gm] Are you ready?

[Bm] Love [G] is gathering.
[A] All the words that I've
been reading, I've now
started the act of [G] bleeding into one.
Into one.
[D] So I walk upon
[A] high and I
step to the [G] edge
to see my world [D] below.
And I laugh to [A] myself
while the tears roll [C] down
cause it's the word I [G] know.
Oh it's the word I [Bm] know.
