The truth about strum patterns: 15 songs, 4 chords, 1 strum pattern chords
Start Jamming...
[Ebm] The most common question that I get asked on my videos and stuff is what's the strum pattern?
Because I show a lot of songs with a few chords and the strum patterns change sometimes.
The truth about strum patterns is that they're not really that important.
I mean as long as you're playing the right chords and you change the chords at the right times,
the strum pattern isn't that big of a deal.
That being said, easily my go-to strum pattern most of the time is going to [Abm] be down, down, up, up, down, up.
Probably 80% of the time that'll work.
8 times out of 10.
And rather than just taking my word for it, I'll show you.

[C] And [G] she will be [D] loud, and [Em] she will be [C] loud.
Every [G] breath you take, every move [Em] you make.
Every bond you break, every plane you [D] sink, I'll be watching [G] you.
Darling, darling stand by me.
Oh [Em] stand by me.
Oh stand now, [D] stand by [G]

Oh where, oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took [D] her away from me.
[G] She's gone to heaven, [Em] so I've got to be good.
