Hello everybody, welcome to the Wonky Angle where I talk about electronic music, both new and old.
And, [C] uh, [D#] um, I know this is not actually electronic, [Fm]
once again, but I'm making this
video in the wake of the recent passing [F] of Walter Becker, um, who as you may know is
[B] one half of Steely Dan alongside Donald Fagan.
And, uh, [F] as I, as people who may [B] have seen my
recent Q&A would [F] know, I am also a huge [Em] fan of Steely Dan personally, their [F] music has meant a
lot to me over the years.
So, um, I decided what I'm going to do, um, is just, uh, countdown [A] my
favorite songs from these guys.
[C] So yeah, I'm just gonna be presenting these [D#] without any commentary
because, you know, this is just kind of an unofficial video meant to, you know, um, honor
Walter Becker and Steely Dan's legacy and all that.
So, um, to get the disclaimers out of the way,
um, this list is just my opinion, you can feel free to disagree with it.
Uh, I don't take
popularity into account.
If, if it's a really obvious choice, [F] then it's an obvious choice,
and if it's a really obscure choice, then it's an obscure choice.
I just went by which songs
mean the most to me personally.
So [D#m] that, that's basically [B] it.
And, um, [Bm] also the list isn't final,
[F#]
could only reflect how I feel right now and might not [F#m] reflect how I feel, um, in [F#] a month or even a
week.
[F] Uh, a lot of these choices were [D#] pretty difficult, um, because, uh, I [F] mean, Steely Dan
has, I believe, five albums that are just really [Em] freaking solid from front to back.
[Am] Can't Buy a Thrill, uh, [B] Countdown to Ecstasy, Pretzelogic, [F] uh, Royal Scam in Asia, just all
fantastic [A] albums right there.
So I'm just going to count down [D] which are my favorite Steely Dan
[E] songs and yeah.
Uh, I'm just gonna, I'll start out with the honorable mentions.
Uh, there's quite a
few, as per usual.

Um, regular videos coming soon.
I was working on my, uh,
review for Chemical Brothers' Dig Your Own Hole.
That's probably gonna be my next video.
Uh, and yeah.
Um, R.A.P. Walter Becker, uh, and go check out Steely Dan's music [F#] if you haven't
already.
And yeah, um, [F#m] that's, that's all for today.
See you next time.
