Hi [B] folks, this is Zigi, nice to see you [A] again, nice to have you with me today with [B] the Stones
classic Under My Thumb.
I [A#] played a bit of my [A] own introduction but let's go into the
original [C] riff.
This is [G#] played for, this is an arrangement for standard tuning.
[B] I
[D] start on the 9th fret [F] with my [B] first finger, [Bm] in a way touch [A#] the A and D [F#] string,
[Bm]
[G#] you can [E] bar, [A] [B] [A] then [C] I go with my [G] pinky [B] into the 6th, [A#] into the [A] 12th, [F#]
[Bm] [A#] move to the D
string and [E]
[B] press my ring finger [A] down onto the 11th [F#m] fret.
[B] I like to, [C] well, let [Bm] the [A] notes ring
into each [F#m] other.
[E] [F#m]
First I play the single notes, [B]
then [A#] I try [A] to, when I go to [Am] that part [A] of that
riff, [A#] I try [B] to [F] let the [G#] two strings [A#] ring, yeah?
[F#m]
[Bm] [F#m] [B]
[F#m] [E] Then I go with my middle [C#] finger to [E] the 7th fret,
[C#] [A#] first finger is in the 6th fret [E] of the D string,
[A] [B] [A#] at the 7th, 9th with [B] the pinky [E] on the D string,
[F#]
[A] [E]
same thing starting [B] on the 5th fret with [G] your middle [D] finger.
[G]
[D] [A] [D]
[F#m] [A]
[E] [F#] [D]
[A] Under my [B] thumb.
I start with the minor [G#] 7 [Am] chord on the [A#] 9th fret, [F#m]
[A]
[E] then I play [G]
[B] an E major [G#] chord by
[Am] pressing down my first finger on [D] the [A] 7th fret of the [F#] A string and [B] barring the [G#] D, G, B string with
my [E] ring finger.
[F#m] [A]
Then using the pinky for the suspended chord, the pinky on the [F#] B string in
[A] the 10th fret.
[E] [D]
I do the same [G] thing on [A#] D major, [A] starting with my first [B] finger on the 5th [D] fret
of the A string, ring finger in the [G] 7th fret of [B] D, G [G] and B, [G#] yeah?
[C] [B]
[A] And listen again.
[F#m] [B] [D#] Under [A] my thumb.
Oh, [B] I've got the wrong [A] note.
[F#m] [F] Let me find the correct note, [A] yeah.
[B] [A] Under my thumb.
There's a woman [Dm] who once [D] had me down.
Under my [A] thumb.
[D]
[G] [D] [A] Let's try the E.
This is an A major.
[C] I bar the second fret of [B] D, [C] G and B.
[A]
Play my [C] little
rock and roll fill in here.
Ring finger on the 3rd of [C#] the A, middle on the 4th of the A, [G#] then I go with my
[G] first finger to the 2nd of the G.
[A]
[D]
D major.
[G] [C]
And now [B] B, from German Haar.
[E]
Then we have an F sharp [F#] minor and
[D] [F#]
[E] then an E major, normal E major.
And [G#] then I start with my [A] little intro again.
[B] If you want to listen to the whole [A] thing again,
[Dm] [A]
[Am] here we have the 7th chord.
Forgot to explain that.
First finger [G#] on the 7th fret of the [A] D,
ring [G#] finger on the 9th fret of the G, 8th fret on the [A] B string with my middle.
I leave the first finger
[E] there and move middle and ring [B] finger one step to the left.
Then I have the [A#] chord [B] that is the D [D] minor
[Dm] chord.
It's like an A minor but you move into [A#] the 6th fret.
[A] This is a normal A major chord.
7th on D,
6th on G, [G] 1st on E on the 5th fret [A] of the B string.
And I can always let the A string ring.

I hope you feel a little bit entertained.
And I
