It was probably about [G] two or three years ago when I got inspired to write If You Knew Him,
and I took it to a buddy of mine, Rodney Griffin, who lives in, he's a songwriter of the year,
Greater Vision, he's been with Greater Vision probably about 20 years, and one songwriter
of the year for 12 years in a row, he's kind of a hero to me, so I [E] took it to him, and
we wrote it, and probably wrote it in 30 minutes, it was just something that, Tracy wanted a
song about the resurrection for this upcoming [G#m] album called Almost Morning, and it was born
that day in Morristown, Tennessee, didn't take long, [B] and the lords really used it, and
I'm very thankful [C#] for it.

I walked by the tomb of Buddha, looked [B] inside and [E] saw his [A] bones,
traveled on to [E] see Muhammad, [B] still wrapped up in his great [G#m] clothes,
then I journeyed [F#] to a [A] garden where [E]
old Joseph [B] left him lay,
the precious lamb, [A] God's own begotten, he [E]
was no [B] longer [E] in that grave,
[B] if you knew him [E] like I know him, [B] you would know that [E] he's alive,
[C#m] if you felt him [A] like I feel him, [E]
resurrection deep inside, [A] you [E] know he's [B] living,
and [A] death has [E] died, if you're wandering in the darkness,
command a step into the light, nail scarred hands reach out to help you,
to pull you safe from death to life, [G#m] friend, I too [A] have stood where you stand,
[E] could I trust in [B] things unseen, oh [C#m] but just one step [A] in his direction,
[B] then in love he [E] ran to me,
[B] if you knew him like [E] I know him, [B] you would know that [E] he's alive,
[C#m] if you felt him [A] like I feel him, [E]
resurrection [C#m] deep inside,
[A] you [E] know he's living, [B] and [E] death has died,
[C] if you asked me how I know [F#] he lives, [C] he is [B] within my [A]
heart,
[Bm] if you felt him like [G] I feel him, [D] resurrection deep [G] inside, you know he's [A] living,
and death has [D] died, yes [F] it has, [A] death has died,
