[G] Thank [Bb]
you, Jesus.
[N] Christine, great to be with you.
So good to be with you, too.
I love talking about songs with you.
And this song, The Name of the Lord, is so powerful.
We were just chatting a little bit about it.
But I'd love for you to talk about this song a little bit.
And, man, I feel like God is really speaking to the church right now about the power in his name.
I've heard lots of pastors preaching this and some songs start to arise.
But it feels like there's really something stirring.
But, yeah, talk about this song a little bit and the inspiration behind it.
Well, I wrote it with the amazing Jonas Myron.
I got to go to the Atlas house.
He has this beautiful creative haven where you walk in and you feel that Jesus is there.
And everything is just so conducive to creativity.
And we were sitting at the piano.
We had already written one song.
We were getting ready to write.
We actually wrote four songs in one evening.
Wow.
Because it was just happening.
And the second song we wrote was this one.
He sat at the piano after hearing my story.
And he just, like, hammered it down.
No arrow, no weapon formed against us shall prosper.
And I'm like, ooh, yes.
And we just kept going.
And it became this anthem of declaring the victory of the Lord in our lives.
Though we walk to the valley of the shadow of death, we have no fear of evil.
Because there's no weapon formed against us that will prosper.
And I love when it says, as we raise an anthem of praise, every wall will fall.
Just that as praise rises, all things that are not praise will fall.
And we do very good and we would be really wise to continue focusing on the name of Jesus for power.
One thing that we were talking about off camera is God is reminding us that power comes from Him and renews in His name.
Because I think we live in a generation where a lot of people have become addicted to their power bubble.
Whether it be on a grand scheme, people in high power, high government, or just, you know, the dad in a household exercising his own power within his area.
We do tend to think that it stems from us.
And we do tend to think that whatever credit we get from wielding that power belongs to us.
But we were not created to carry any power or any glory.
That's why people that become addicted to those things and do not cast it upon the feet of Jesus end up in crisis.
End up destroyed on the inside because we weren't designed to carry the weight of glory and the weight of power.
So this song is a reminder of that.
It deposits the power where it needs to be, which is in the name of the Lord.
Everything we can do, all the impossibles we see possible in our life, happen in the name of the Lord.
And we would be really wise to remember that and to keep it on our lips whenever we are leading or wielding whatever power we've been given on this earth.
Yeah, and I love that because there's no matter where you're sitting with that, you know, I think about churches, you know, leaders singing this over their churches, sharing, singing it with their churches.
For those that feel like they have no [Gb] power, there's that reminder of like, there is no weapon for me.
Yes, you will prosper.
Jesus [F] is more powerful than anything that can come against you.
And it goes very well with like the opening verse, like no matter the mountain, no matter the journey, there is a name above it all.
No matter the sickness, no matter the disease, no matter the trial, no matter the sorrow, which we will all go through, there is still a name above it all.
Wow.
And just what a powerful thing to share, even with those who, as you said, like feel like I'm carrying this power.
I have this, you know, that we weren't built to do that.
We weren't built to accumulate power.
[Gb] We were built like Jesus to give it away.
Yes.
And that in itself is another powerful just reminder that's in this [Eb] song.
So good.
I love it.
I love it.
I love that bridge.
Our God, our refuge, our deliverer, just proclaiming who he is in our life.
That'll remind us who's got the true power.
So good.
Well, Christine, thanks so much for sharing the song with us.
[Bb] Really powerful.
Thank you.
Such a pleasure.
Thank [Eb] you.
