I was watching the show and I [Eb]
had a cigar and I [Db] was like this is [Eb] such a weird party
and I'm not backing [Gb] out.
I want to do something.
What are you thinking about your family?
[Eb]
Just like, [E] I need to take care [C] of my family.
This is Open Air, new music from Colorado Public Radio.
I'm Alisha Sweeney.
Is it important to you to bring a little bit of Colorado with you on tour?
I think yeah. Yeah, definitely.
Often times when we're asked what are we listening to, we almost always say at least one Denver [F] band.
I think the music scene here is so thriving and it's nice to bring Nathaniel out.
He does a lot for it.
On the flip side, I think it's also we just like bringing bands.
The [E] music that we like, we never got to do that before.
The fact is that Denver has a few musicians that we really like that much.
It's not just the handouts because we really believe that these bands are great
and that more people need to hear them.

I stood alone upon a platform in Maine
[G] New Puerto Ricans, they were playing their songs [F] in the rain
[C] With open doors and manual locks and fast food
[Ab] New York, it lied to me [G] I needed the truth
Oh, I [F] needed somebody
I needed someone I could [C] trust
had a cigar and I [Db] was like this is [Eb] such a weird party
