[D] [A] The last of the Southron, the Otter Empire, saw [D] Eldemir prove its worth.
[A] Sagely they called for a tournament grand [D] to determine the prince of the North.
A new knight defeated the champion of old with [A] prowess both nimble and sure.
[D] Certain were they upon seeing his face that [A] the line of the North was secure.
Singing they joined in the thundering [D] host that fought for the mid-round kings.
[A] Fearless the light of the wolf-packet wore [D] with the valor that leadership brings.
Sharp were the blades of the triple-edged flower [A] that struck its foes down where they stood.
[D] Fierce was the light of the heavens' red eye [A] when the fields were the scarlet of blood.
Upon this foundation their arms would reach [D] wide and the Northrealm would leave its mark.
[A]
Powerful monarchs would sail with the [D] tide and would shine like a flame in the dark.
Eldemir's people were giving and kind, each [A] head of pavilion or [D] hall.
Had no greater pride for a stranger or friend [A] but to give them their best in their all.
So Eldemir grew to a thoroughbred strength [D] from the first eager steps of a colt.
[A] The needs of a kingdom were pondered at [D] length, none could find Eldemir's fault.
Officers, artisans, wisdom and youth and [A] nobles of every degree.
[D] Women and men full of chivalry's grace [A] who could lead them in war and in peace.
Like bees in the summer the fever could hold [D] for much was there yet to be done.
[A] The newest of nobles joined shyer folk of old in [D] their dreams of a future to come.
The humblest peasants stood equal to peer as the [A] shape of their work was revealed.
[D]
Surely the mightiest keep had been built [A] from the stones that were found in the field.
And so came the day when the doors were thrown wide [D] to the wondrous hall they built.
[A] Drawn like a river they gathered inside [D] till the greatest of chambers was filled.
Eyes were drawn upward and whispers were hushed at [A] the sight of the scarlet drape thrown.
Their dream in fruition the moment at hand for a king [A] and a queen of their own.
In song softened silence the populace stood and [D] the will of the land intoned.
[A] Sweet was the harvest that grew from the past [D] when the seeds of the future were sown.
Soft was the shining of Eldemir's eyes [A] who had gathered to witness a birth.
[D] Bright was the legacy circle that passed from [A] the first to the last to the first.
[D] Oh yeah, [A] oh [G]
yeah.
[D] [A]
And so first is the wolf and [Am] the wilds and the will [D] and the rule of the Northrealm King.
