The Guitendo. (functioning guitar & console) chords
Start Jamming...
Whoa!
Here it is.
That is beautiful.
Oh yeah.
This is the Getendo and this particular model of Getendo is also a functioning system.
Okay so to put this in context here, Reverb hit me up [G] recently to see if I wanted to do
something with them [Bb] and if you're unfamiliar, they're like the musician [Gb] standard for buying
and selling gear and they're like, there's this crazy Nintendo guitar on the site, would
you like to [A] use it?
I was like, well does it play games?
Because that would really bring it over the top and Reverb said, yeah, well reach out
to the maker and see if he can [G] do it and sure enough he was able to make it work so shout
out [N] to him.
So you can play Nintendo games on that.
It's not an actual NES but there's an emulator in it so you can play NES games.
What's in here?
Oh, wood.
And this is my friend Craig, WheezyWaiter on YouTube, one of my favorite channels ever.
So if you're not subscribed you need to be subscribed but for the sake of this video
he's bragged to me a lot about how good he is at the original Mario.
I played a lot of Mario.
At one time I played this without warping, without dying.
All the way through to the end.
I learned the first two levels but I didn't learn the theme that happens when you die
because I have faith in you.
I don't know the game.
I'll just never die.
I'll never die.
Also, we're giving this away at the end of the video but as soon as I got it in the mail
I immediately regretted making that decision.
You wanted to keep it.
Yeah, I was like, oh man, I messed up.
Who [E] made it?
The giveaway is going on for a month on Reverb.
There will be more info below.
I don't know off the top of my head.
There's a few that I saw that have like, tone knobs as well but this just has one [B] volume knob.
It's attached here and there's just a big piece of wood in.
[Em]
Hey gents.
[Fm] [E]
[G] That's probably power, that's probably reset.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
[B] Whoa, Super Mario 3?
Yeah dude, Super [A] Mario 3 is here.
Oh my god.
[Gb] Yeah, Super Mario 3.
Why am I giving this thing away again?
Okay. Okay.
[Em] Does that reset it?
Yeah.
[E] [A]
[B] [A]
It brings [E] back memories.
[A]
Oh, we already got yesterday.
[D] Fire power.
Oh, come on, come on.
Oh, I'm rusting.
You stuck.
[G] All right,
[D] oh.
Charge this thing.
Do it.
[G]
[D] [G] Yeah!
[E] [C]
[Bb] [F] Yeah!
Yeah!
[A]
Yeah!
[Am] [D]
[Ab] [N]
Yeah! Point!
[G] Wait, let's time [G] it.
Ready, ready, ready?
Here it goes.
Here it goes.
[Em]
Yeah!
[D] Let's try it on [D] mute.
I want to see if I can recreate, I mean it's going to be a [C] disaster because I haven't practiced [B] it, but recreate all the sound effects as you're playing.
Oh, wow, okay.
[Gb] [G] [Em] Nice.
Alright, I'm going to mute it.
Get a coin.
Okay, ready?
[G]
I think a fireball [A] could be like
[G]
[C] Okay, here's the star.
Ready?
Okay.
[B]
[C] [G] [Fm]
[Em] I gotta [E] say, adding a guitar to the Nintendo doesn't replace the sound chip.
Yeah, make it great.
Ready?
[Ab] Star.
[B] [A] [B]
[G] Okay, two.
[F] Yeah!
[D]
[G] [F]
[Em] [Db] [Dm]
[Am] [Eb] Yes!
[F]
[Gm] So yeah, we are giving this away, [G] unfortunately for me.
