When [Gm] we hadn't played together in 18 years, and we [Gb] got together and all kind of looked at each other and went,
well, what [G] should we do?
Well, why don't you [Em] play this?
I don't know.
We should have remembered what song it was, and we played it, and we finished and went,
wow, that was actually pretty good.
It just doesn't go away.
You know, it doesn't go away.
At least you got rid of the monkey.
[Em] Yeah, pretty bad.
Did that cat jump on your shoulder?
No, he was inside the [G] trailer.
[Em] There was a goat, a rooster, and a kitten.
I said he looks like a guy in a [D] South American metal band.
[G]
He's got the beard and he's [Ab] like
And the kitten [Em] was crying a lot, so I thought there's probably something wrong.
We're in a children's book.
[G]
Exactly.
[A] This is my [Em] cousin.
Hi, my name's Keith.
Kevin.
Hi, [G] Tom.
You're fulfilling my wife [D] and I's [A] high school fantasy.
Oh, [Em] nice.
Oh, we're good.
Wow.
That's why we're [G] here, so I'm still fantasy.
[A]
[E] We [Db] haven't played together like [D] so many [C] songs in like 20 [G] years.
Not to say that we're all [Am] fantastic [C] or anything like that, but we had this one rehearsal [G] before, just one,
and we were like, you know, [A] I remember thinking [C] to myself like [Em]
10 [G] seconds into the song,
it's like, it's just weird [Em] because we haven't played this song in 20 [C] years.
I hadn't really practiced this stuff too [Em] much, but it's just like, I guess we toured [G] so much with those [Em] songs,
it was like, wow, this sounds pretty good.
That's [G] the thing, it was so ingrained in us for [Em] years of touring and playing.
But I mean, I had even played [D] drums in years.
I'd [E] even sat behind a drum set.
I don't know.
I don't know what it would be, 10 years?
More?
I practiced them every day with cardboard stand-ups with you guys.
[Em] So I was ready.
Just waiting.
But it's different.
I mean, you guys never stopped playing.
You [E] guys, you know, have always kept performing and entertaining.
Performing and [N] entertaining.
Children's birthdays.
Thank you for coming all the way out here.
To us it seems like the middle of nowhere, but [A]
like, when we were driving here,
it's like, really?
How long are we going to keep driving?
But apparently this is quite common for you folks to [C] go
[E] to some magical place.
[Bb]
Is [G] that our set list right there, Kevin?
Yes, it's for us.
I [Eb] have a hard time.
I don't wear my glasses because they always slide off my face,
but I [N] can't see anything.
You need to use tape.
Tape them on.
So maybe we'll just see what happens.
I could tell you.
We're going to do Oh Lucky Man now.
Okay, let's do that.

[D] Go find your plan, pull [C] up a [G] life jacket.

[Gb] [G] I was always the guy over the years, back in the day at the house parties,
if there was a piano there, I would be playing the piano all night.
I'd prefer doing that than actually [C] talking to people.
I don't have my grade 12, and the reason [Ebm] is,
you have to [Ab] have, back in my day, [Dbm] grade 11 or [E] 12 PE to get your grade 12 [F] graduation.
And I dropped out of [G] PE in grade 11, and then I never bothered doing it in grade 12.
And so that basically, when I [Ab] got my diploma, it was blank.
So of course I would tell my kids that I'm going to go back and take my grade 12 PE with my son this [F] year,
and kick everyone's asses.
Yeah, music, [G] I guess I'm naturally good at it, [Em] and I never [E] pursued, you know,
when we first got signed to our first record label, I [D] was still in grade 12.
[N] I actually didn't even go back to my locker and empty my scraffle out of it,
because I was like, ah, screw that.
So I was kind of like basically out of there.
I [D] didn't have any chance for a post [E]-high school education or [Db] anything like that, so I'm screwed.
[F] So I have to do music forever.
well, what [G] should we do?

_ _ [Gb] _ _ [G] I was always the guy over the years, back in the day at the house parties,
if there was a piano there, I would be playing the piano all night.
_ _ _ _ I'd prefer doing that than actually [C] talking to people.
_ _ I don't have my grade 12, and the reason [Ebm] is,
you have to [Ab] have, back in my day, [Dbm] grade 11 or [E] 12 PE to get your grade 12 _ _ [F] graduation.
And I dropped out of [G] PE in grade 11, and then I never bothered doing it in grade 12.
And so that basically, _ when I [Ab] got my diploma, it was blank.
So of course I would tell my kids that I'm going to go back and take my grade 12 PE with my son this [F] year,
and _ kick everyone's asses.
Yeah, music, [G] I guess I'm naturally good at it, [Em] and I never [E] pursued, you know,
_ when we first got signed to our first record label, I [D] was still in grade 12.
[N] _ I actually didn't even go back to my locker and empty my scraffle out of it,
because I was like, ah, screw that. _
So I was kind of like basically out of there. _ _
I [D] didn't have any chance for a post _ _ _ [E]-high school education or [Db] anything like that, so I'm screwed.
[F] So I have to do music forever. _
