Hey everybody, I've got a very good friend of mine here, one of the greatest bass players I've ever heard.
Plays the funk slap stuff, all kinds of crazy stuff.
He's really one of the best I've ever heard.
[Bb] Trevor Lindsay, and Trevor comes from a musical family.
His dad, Mart Lindsay, led the band for Merv Griffin.
[C] His brother Steve produced Bruno Mars, who's a great keyboard player.
This guy can play bass like nothing else.
What are you doing lately, Trevor?
I'm basically playing live around town in Los Angeles, doing some session work, a few commercials here and there.
Doing what you can these days.
It's kind of a new world for the young to be able to do everything on a computer these days.
But the guys who can really play are still the older guys.
We go out and do the live work, get out there and get people dancing.
I don't know who can play like this on a computer, but Chuck, can you play a little bit for us?
Just check this [D] out.

[Bb] Now,
[E] who can do that?
And you can play just the regular bass type [Gb] stuff, you know, with fingers [Ab] and all that?

[Bbm] [E] And what that is, is [C] this is a 66 Jazz bass.
It's been [Bb] refinished, refretted, just a player-grade instrument.
But when you put a great player on a good bass, this is what you get.
I always say I'll play a bagel with a string on it as long as it's
And if anybody can make a bagel with a string on it play good, that would be you.
Sometimes you have to.
There [C] you go.
My brother Trevor Lindsay, [Bb] thank you, my friend.
Thanks always for coming in.
I mean, it's like old home week here.
We get all our guys.
In fact, we just had my buddy Bobby Watson in from Rufus.
[Bb] And then Trevor comes in on the same day.
So I guess it's bass day at Norm's wherever he goes.
Norm's always like coming home, that's for sure.
Well, always love to see my old friends.
And all my friends are old friends these days.
All right, brother.
Thank you, man.
All right, Trevor Lindsay.
