[Ab] I had no idea [Dbm] what was happening through the middle of it, but I [Eb] knew that God was working
His master plan.
[E] And I say how God's worked everything out, and Stephen and [N] Emily and their three little
boys are doing good.
They're living now in Paris, Texas.
And of [Ebm] course Josh being here and helping out in the church, and they have [Bb] Colby and
Jude and his wife Ashley, [G] and they're all doing well.
And [Abm] sometimes it's easy to whenever things come together [Ebm] to say, well we had [Abm] the faith
there all the way through it and we were, [Eb] that's how we were planning on it.
But that [D] wasn't how we were planning on it.
[Gm] That's how God [Abm] worked it out.
And God led Andy and Chad into the group and worked everything out.
But one of the things that I learned about [E] growing up [Abm] with four boys in the home, and
we also have three younger [G] sisters, but the four boys being the [N] oldest, is that, no don't,
okay.
[Ab] That's Stephen's [B] kid.
So you never know what's going to happen.
That scared [Bb] me, but he let it all out.
[Eb] Stephen's kids are more athletic than mine.
Logan [Ab] jumped off a bridge last week and broke his foot.
So it just makes me a little bit [Eb] nervous seeing him jump.
But yeah, I'm glad that we're all doing well.
[Abm] He cleared it just fine.
Okay, sorry to embarrass you.
[G] Use the stairs next time.
So, [Ab] but with brothers one of the things that we could be [Bb] with each other was [Abm] brutally honest sometimes.
We'd get in the studio, and if somebody would mess up, we'd say, well you just messed your part up.
But it was fun.
And we always had fun.
And [Dm] people would ask all the time, [G] they'd say, well did you guys [Abm] fight?
[N] And we would say, well we fight occasionally, but we try not to fight when we're in public.
But one of the things that it helped [G] us with having somebody that will be honest with you
Whenever you start [E] to stray or to do [Eb] something wrong, you're going [Abm] to hear about it.
Your brothers a lot of times aren't going to tell you what you want to hear.
They're going [Ebm] to tell you what you need to hear.
[Gb] And that's good [G] to have in your life.
So many times in [E] our society [D] today, I see young people with a Facebook [Abm] mentality for
all of their [G] friends and they think, well, if my friend [Ebm] doesn't like what I'm doing and
my friend [Bbm] doesn't pat me on the back every step along [Ebm] the way, we'll [Abm] all go to my cell
phone or I'll go to my computer and I'll unfriend them and it will be the end of that.
What happens is we surround ourselves with a great number of superficial friends who
tell us what we want to hear and tell us what we want to hear all the time [Gb] and never tell
us what we need to hear.
And [Ab] sometimes the people that are close to us will tell us what we need to hear.
We shun them away.
And so whenever we got ready to make our newest CD, we wanted a song and [G] we wanted to get
[Abm] guys in the group like Chad and like Andy, who would be like a brother to walk the walk
of faith together.
They saw us doing [Ab] something that we shouldn't be doing that would have the [Abm] boldness to be
able to come up and say, say, Hey, we're close enough.
You're my friend and I can tell you this.
And then I pray that God would have the [Eb] grace in our lives.
So listen to that and build [N] a friendship that is based deeper than [Abm] just the superficial
things that we believe that [B] friends a lot of times turn into today.
[Abm] And so we recorded this song as kind of a tribute and [Ab] a testimony for how we run our ministry.
It's not any one guy being out there out front.
I'm going to somebody came up to me earlier with a question [D] and they said, did your [Ebm] dad
talk to you about something?
And I said, [Abm] no, he hadn't talked to me and dad in fact talked to Andrew about a lot of
people get [Eb] confused [Ab] since I'm the one talking most of the time behind the microphone that
[Abm] I'm in charge of something.
No, God just blessed me with the gift of talking.
And so Andrew's in charge of everything.
So if anything goes wrong, blame [D] him.
I can't take any of the blame for anything.
Only the credit if it [N] works right.
So we got it set [Abm] up.
But we, we, we wanted to record a song that would be [Gb] about the brothers and about the
new [N] guys that would come in.
And I think if we can think about it in our own lives, [B] we'll sometimes be able to look
to our family [Gm] that have helped us [Ab] walk the walk of faith, but also we'll be able to look
to members that are in our church or members maybe that are [Abm] even from another church that
have helped encourage [N] us and helped be there for us in times of needs.
And we need to surround [Db] ourselves with true [A] friends like that.
Things about me, [D] God only knows.
[Gbm] And I have to [E] say, you guys don't [D] extend a lie.
[A] No matter what I tell you, [D] you don't love [A] me less.
[Gbm] And it shows [E] you are the truest [D] friends of mine.
[Bm] On this narrow road of faith, [E] I don't want to [A] be [D] unwise.
Stray into the field of [Bm] compromise.
[Am] Walk [Gbm] with me [D] to make it through [E] this life.
[A] I need brothers who will stand right [D] by my [E] side.
[A] Walk [Gbm] with me.
[D] Speak the [E] truth in love.
[A] Keep reminding me to guard my [D] heart from lies.
[Bm] Because to be the [E] man God [A] wants me to be, I [G] need you [D] to [A] walk with me.
I've been asked questions, [D] pointed out what I don't see.
[Gbm] You can speak into [E] my life [Gbm] [D] anytime.
[Gbm] [A] These feet are prone to wander [D] when some [A] change falls to [D] me.
[Gbm] So I'm asking [E] you to help [D] keep me [A] in line.
[Bm] There's a risk in being open [E] and a fear in [A] honesty.
[D] But I know you truly want what's [Bm] best for me.
[A]
[Gbm] Walk with me [D] to make it through [E] this life.
[A] I need brothers who will stand right [D] by my [A] side.
[Gbm] Walk with me.
Speak the [E] truth in love.
[A] Keep reminding me to guard my heart from [D] lies.
[Bm] Because to be the [E] man God wants [A] me to be, I [G] need you [B] to walk [Abm] with me.
[E] Walk with me to make it through [Gb] this life.
[B] I need brothers [Abm] who will stand right [E] by my side.
[B] Walk [Abm] with me.
[E] Speak the [Ab] truth in love.
[B] Keep reminding [Abm] me to guard my [E] heart from lies.
Because [Dbm] to be the [Gb] man God wants [B] me to be, I [A] need [B] you to walk with me.
I [A] need you to [B] walk with me.
[E] Walk with me.
Because you [B] walk with me.
You walk [E] with me.
