Hey guys, this is Lyle Lutarsson from Brutal Death Horse.
You may remember us from our first EP,
Stallion Bone Marrow.
Anyways, today is my first day of training at Sweetwater.
I'm just trying to,
you know, have a little side cash to work on my new material.
One of the reasons I would really
like to get hired here is [Eb] just all the guitars.
I love playing all the guitars, and the cool thing
is I can really do whatever I want in the guitar department because that's not where I would be
getting hired.
[Gb]
[Bb] [N]
I can leave them [Em] out of tune,
[Gb] and I know that one of these awesome Sweetwater
employees will take care of it, no problem.
Sweetwater has a pretty rigorous training
program.
I think I've been doing pretty well.
I mean, they have studios here, so I was trying to,
you know, kind of prove my musicianship and record another Brutal Death Horse EP.
I gotta do another take.
That was not good enough.
[D] [G]
[D] [A]
The employees in the studio section of Sweetwater [G]
really like me.
I think they're going to give me
free studio time whenever I [D] want.
[E] [N]
I'm recording a demo.
I don't know.
It's
I work here now, so
Oh, there's this awesome slide, and I don't want to
brag, but I think I might be the fastest slider among the Sweetwater employees.
I mean, technically,
I'm supposed to be, like, working on this 55-point inspection test that they have for every guitar,
but doctors say you're supposed to take breaks all the time for your mental health, and every
five minutes, take a break.
Seems logical to me.
I mean, this place is so great.
They have candy
just sitting everywhere, and you can pretty much take whatever you want in here, too.
So, in the front of Sweetwater, there's this cool little museum-type thing that represents the
founder, Chuck Surak, and his start, how he basically bought a van and turned it into a
mobile recording studio, and then, well, eventually became this place, and I just kind of wanted to get
into his headspace, so I went into his van and wanted to kind of feel what he was feeling when
he was in there.
I mean, there weren't any signs telling me not to go into the van.
There were
ropes, but no signs, and I'm really looking forward to working here because between, you know,
the slide breaks and the three-hour lunch breaks that I like to take in the cafeteria,
it really isn't that hard of a job.
I mean, you know, if I get hired, but I'm pretty confident.
They have so many guitars in the back warehouse, and I don't want to brag, but I'm pretty sure all
those people back there really like me, and the cool thing about that is I can just kind of walk
back there and not be in the way at all.
They kind of just get out of my way.
Sweetwater's [Bb] awesome.
The doors thank you here.
[C] [N]
So even though this training process is like months long, and I have to take a test about gear that
I'm not totally confident I'll pass, I'm actually feeling really good about getting hired here at
Sweetwater, and if I do, send me an email, tyler at brutaldeathhorse.net.co.edu, [E] and I will give you
a discount on anything at Sweetwater.
[A] You may even say a five-finger discount.
No, no, I'm just
kidding.
I don't want to lose my job before I have it, and a really sneaky thing that I've been doing
is actually slipping in Brutal Death Horse EPs, you know, Stallion Bone Marrow.
I've been sliding
those into all the online orders from Sweetwater.
Hopefully this video gave some insight into the
awesome operation here at Sweetwater and how you can get hired by them, or not.
