So, [F#] continuing my trend of budget guitars, today I'm gonna check out this Telecaster
style guitar that I got for $99 off of eBay.
Now I've seen these go from anywhere between $80 and $120, but they're always gonna be
in that range and very often under $100 brand new.
Now what's really great is that also for that price you get a gig bag and a strap.
So once you get it all, you're pretty much ready to plug in and go.
So this is made by a company called Cozart, and if you look around you can find some of
the other products that they make, but this seems to be [C#m] the most economically priced guitar
that they offer.
And I have to say, I'm pretty impressed.
First of all, it looks amazing, which is always nice.
And the construction and build [F] quality for a guitar in this price range is very good.
As far as the specs go, [B] we've got a nice, thick basswood body, a maple neck, a rosewood
fretboard with 22 medium frets.
On the [F#] headstock we've got some generic 6-in-line tuners and string trees.
And of course it's a Telecaster, so we've got a classic single-coil lipstick-style pickup
in the neck and another single-coil in the bridge.
For controls, again, it's a Telecaster style, so we've got a 3-way toggle switch, a volume,
and a tone.
Now as far as the finish goes, I got this in just the natural transparent finish because
I really like the wood grain so much on this, but it does come in several other colors.
You can also get it in white, seafoam green, and a nice metallic gold.
Okay, so those are the specs.
Let's go ahead and listen to how this sounds.

[F#] [Am] Okay,
[Bm] [A]
so we've got some nice, classic Telecaster tones there, in particular on the middle position
where you're [B] combining both pickups.
It gives it that nice, kind of bright twang sound to it.
Now I should say that when I got this guitar right out of the box, it did need a little
bit of work in terms of the setup.
It was definitely playable as it was, but the height of the pickups and the bridge here
did need a little adjustment for me to kind of get my preference of how it should play.
So like any inexpensive guitar, you should be prepared to make a few minor adjustments
to it right when you get it.
But other than the initial setup, everything is stock on this guitar.
I've even used the original strings.
Overall, for $100, this is a really good guitar if you're looking for something in a Telecaster [E] style.
You can play it as is, right out of the box, or of [F#] course, this would make [F] a great bass
[A] guitar for [B] modifications.
[Bm] So now let me ask you, as far as the Telecaster [B] style goes, and Fender style [C#] guitars in general,
do you prefer a Telecaster or a Strat?
Personally, I'm more of a Strat guy myself, but after playing this guitar for a while,
I'm starting to really warm up to the feel of the Telecaster.
What do you guys think?
Alright, guys, as always, thanks for watching.
