[D#m] [N] Hey, what's up, you guys?
Marty Schwartz here, GuitarJams.com.
Got a heavily, heavily requested song, I guess most likely from my female demographic.
So thank you to all two of you.
I really appreciate it.
You two guys, thank you.
It's a little joke there.
Anyway, [D#] gonna play this for you.
I set it up so it's like for the ultimate beginner if you need it.
We got the sixth fret capo.
You know, tie some shoelaces around there if you don't have a capo.
And that's it.
If you want to get deeper into learning guitar though, I've got a chord and scale book, other
video lessons that are not on YouTube that will help you progress in an educational format.
Anyway, I've got the link right down there.
You guys can check it out.
I really appreciate all the support.
And I'm gonna just do this free lesson right now for you.
So let's zoom in and I'm gonna show you [A] how to do it.
Here we go.
All right, so I've got the capo on the sixth fret [Dm] right here.
And it [E] follows this kind of access of four awesome [D#m] chords.
Got a C major [F#] chord.
And then we're gonna go to [G] a G chord.
[C#] You might see me play it with my ring finger there and pinky right there and middle finger right there.
So you [F#] got C, [C#] then you got G, then you [D#m] got A minor, and then you got [B] F.
And I'm gonna
play it this way.
[N] So I'm gonna have my ring finger on the third of the A, pinky on the third of the D, middle
finger on the second of the G there, index on the first of [B] the B, respective to the capo obviously.
Okay?
[F#] So we got this.
[C#]
[D#m]
[B] [F#]
[C#] [D#m]
[B]
And so that is the [G#] verse.
[Em] Down, down, up, [E] down, up, down, [F] down, up, down.
[F#] But one thing I'm doing is I'm letting my palm [C] cut the notes off so it's not ringing out [F#] like.
[C#] Now, if you're a [D#m] beginner, it's okay to do it that way.
[C#m] But I'm getting some staccato [F#] feeling in there.
[F] So I keep letting my palm come down on that and mute it.
[F#]
[C#]
[D#m] [B]
[F#]
[C#]
[D#m]
[B] [F#]
[N] So that, my friends, is the verse.
Now let's get to the chorus.
So the chorus is really made up of all the same chords, which is great news.
And keep in mind that most songs are written this way, where, you know, if you had like
a progression that you liked, you can switch the chords around and come up with a new part
with the same chords.
So we've got A minor to [B] the F to the [C#] G.
And then there's this little kind of turnaround [F#] that happens, the chords [G#] switch quicker than that.
And it's C [C#] to [F#] G.
[C#] [D#m] [B]
[F#] [D#m] A minor, F [B] to [C#] G.
[F#] C, C, [C#] C, G, [D#m] G, G minor, [B] F, [C#] G, [C#] C, C, C, G, G, [D#m] G, A minor.
I'm just going [D] down, down, down, down, up, down, down, down, down, up, down, down, down.
[D#m]
[B] [F#]
[D#m] [B] [C#]
[F#] [D#m]
[B] [C#] [F#]
[D#m] [B] Those are the two main parts [D#] of the song right there.
There's one little bridge, but once again, it's [C] just the same chords.
You don't have to learn anything new.
And it's just one little, [E] one little bridgy thing.
[D#] And then that's all you need.
So [A] you need an F [B] chord.
Not too bad, right?
Not too [F] much [B] trouble.
F to G.
Man, you didn't even have to strum it.
And then F to
[C#] G.
Let that G ring out a little bit more for longer.
Right back into the [D#m] chorus.
[C#]
[F#] [D#m]
[B] [C#]
[D#m] [F] All right, that was the lesson.
I hope you had a good time.
Remember, I've got a bunch of bonus stuff right down there.
That link, that Guitar Jamz link right down there.
Thanks for hanging out with me.
And hopefully, I'll see you in another video lesson real soon.
Take care.
See you later.

Okay?
[F#] So we got this.
[C#]
[D#m]
[B] [F#]
[C#] [D#m]
[B]
And so that is the [G#] verse.
[Em] Down, down, up, [E] down, up, down, [F] down, up, down.

[D#m]

[D#m] [B] [C#]
