Hey, it's Andrew Huang, and this is another episode of Superfast Beatmaking.
Today I'm giving myself half an hour to make an entire track after collecting samples.
Where am I gonna get the samples from?
Well, I've asked on Twitter for y'all to send me suggestions of YouTube search terms.
I'm gonna go through and find some videos that have very low views, bring them into Ableton, and then make a track.
Oh, there are so many tweets already.
Okay, let's, uh
Start at the beginning.
Wait, where's the beginning?
Steve Urkel.
I like it.
Put Steve Urkel in.
Let's do this Steve Urkel Snapchat.
Look at those big ol' lips.
Yeah.
I like them big ol' lips.
There's definitely a good sample in here.
What else do we wanna do?
Surfboards?
Yeah, sure, why not?
Surfboards.
Oh, I like this [E] thumbnail.
[Gm] [E] Okay.
I might be sampling someone else's music.
It says in the description, music by Peven Kinell.
Let's do a quick Google.
Who's Peven Kinell?
Kinell.
[N] Peven Kinell.
Oh, he's got a cool website.
It's got dots on it.
I don't know much about you, Peven, but I think I'm gonna do some questionable copyright stuff to your music.
Driving, screaming.
Oh no.
Real spider attacks, Annabelle freaks out, screaming in truck, not a toy.
Okay.
I'm gonna feel bad if I sample this little girl screaming, but wood punching.
I'm doing it.
Only because I think I need some percussion sounds in here.
Here we go.
Punching a box.
This looks like my aesthetic.
Oh, yeah.
I'm not even watching any more of that.
We got some drums.
Dimples.
How to get dimples.
Okay, maybe we will learn something.
Um, hello guys.
Um, whoa.
I kinda like the whoa she did there.
Maybe [G] I'll use that.
Cocktail tutorial.
Hair care cocktail.
Hairstyle [F#] makeup.
What does cocktail [F#m] mean?
Oh, [G] I'm picking this one [C] that was uploaded two months ago and has eight [E] views.
[B] Alright, [E] give me some music to work with.
Okay, sweet.
We're gonna have a little piano sample.
And one final search.
Bigfoot.
Bigfoot unboxing versus giant cobra snake animal planet playset.
Let's check this out.
Oh yeah, freaks.
The Bigfoot playset by Animal Planet.
Yes, I take that.
Alright, folks.
It is 8.33. I'm giving myself half an hour to do this.
I've got all my clips in Ableton here.
What can I grab from this?
It's such a weird bit of music.
Heaven!
Let's see what happens.
This could be our bass.
Sure.
Oh yeah, freaks.
Clearly using oh yeah, freaks.
Don't [G] be scared.
Be scared.
Yeah, we're gonna change don't be scared to be scared.
I guess we're gonna find a cool piano loop in here.
Alright, let's take that because it's like just piano on its own which could be nice.
[E] I'm just taking that little cymbal and kick drum and bass there.
Oh, this poor girl is really sad.
Okay, he's going to the back.
He's gonna get the spider.
He's gonna get the spider.
[D#] Get it!
Wait a second.
Is this from the same channel as the Bigfoot video?
This is Andrew from the future.
Those [G#] two random search terms from two different people
did actually lead me to the same content creator, but it gets even weirder than that.
I will explain at the end of this video.
Back to music making.
Big ol' lips.
Should this song be called Big Ol' Lips?
Big ol' lips.
Yep.
And then oh finally something extremely useful.
The punch.
How [F] long does this go on for?
[N] Yeah, you destroy that box.
I like that too.
There's so much good stuff, but I bet I'm running out of time.
Oh my god, it's been nine minutes.
This is gonna be a simpler track, but I think I could do a lot with a little today.
Let's get the timing of Big Ol' Lips first.
Big ol' lips.
Big ol' lips.
Big ol' lips.
We'll do like lips, lips, big ol' lips.
Now we can make a beat.
All right, this was the best kick sounding one so far.
Pitch it down a bit.
And then we're going to also EQ some treble out of it.
Let's make this part loop and it sounds so far like this.
Big ol' lips.
So let's get the snare in.
[G#m] Okay, so we're going to do three of this one and then one of this one.
And that's [A#] going to be super dope.
Awesome.
Do you guys enjoy seeing me being so frantic trying to produce?
This should be a sport.
Here's what it sounds like so far.
Why am I wasting time showing you this right now?
[Bm] We can mix it as we go.
Okay, hi-hat or bass.
Uh, whatever sound we come up with [E] next.
There's the [F#m] bass sound.
[G]
[G#] [D] Oh, that's nice and dirty.
Good job, Pevan.
Is Big Ol' Lips in a key?
[E]
Yeah, this is what I want.
And we're going to sidechain this with the kick [G] drum.
[F] [G#m] I think this is my favorite one of these I've done so far, guys.
Time check.
I have nine minutes left.
Man, this is exciting for me.
Like, there's no real consequences if I don't do this in half an hour.
But my heart rate is going up.
What do we still got to use [G] here?
It's going to be some cute little thing at the end of the loop.
[N]
[Em] What's that bass note?
[E]
It's in key!
Amazing!
Okay, so we're going to throw this in as just like a little bonus snare.
[N]
What do I still need to use?
Oh, the Big Foot stuff and the Dimple stuff.
Here's what we're going to do.
Filter it a little bit.
Okay, put it in a sampler.
Now we can play it.
Wait, let's add some distortion to it.
Three minutes [B] left.
[G] [F#] [F]
[E] [N] Oh, but the spider!
Okay, I'm gonna take this noise, add a filter, and a lot of reverb.
And it's gonna [D#] go
No idea how that's gonna fit in.
[Am] Oh, it's [Bm] 902!
Gotta use Big Foot.
[D] So, [Gm] we didn't get quite as far as I wanted to.
If you will permit me to extend my time by 12 extra minutes, I can make this sick!
Oh yeah, [B] freaks!
[G] [F#] [F]
[N] Five minutes left.
It's so nice when you just like, idea after idea comes about how to develop the track
and you don't have to labor over it and be like,
Now where could it go?
I don't have any time right now though!
Just do the idea, do the idea!
New drum part.
That's what it's [E] gonna be.
Moshy breakdown.
[Fm] [Em] [B]
Okay, well, I'm gonna call it at 914.
Don't look at my emails.
And I guess I can show you the completed track now.
Be scared.
[G]
[F#] [Fm] [E]
[D] [Em] [B]
[G] [F#] [Fm] [E]
[Dm] [E] [F#] [B]
[G] [F#] [F] [E]
[D] [E] [B]
[G] [F#] [F] [E]
[D] [E] [Em]
[F] [E] [F] [E]
[F] Oh [E] yeah, freaks!
[F] [E] [Fm] [E]
[Fm] [E] I'm pretty sure a Big Foot would make some noises.
[F] [E]
[Fm] [E] All [N]
right, so the Big Foot video and the spider video.
One of them comes from Toy Freaks, which is a channel with 5 million subscribers.
The other one comes from their vlog channel, which has 1.6 million subscribers.
But the reason those videos came up in my searches is because on the same day that I
was making this beat, another channel had ripped all of this creator's videos and started
a new channel where I guess they're hoping to capitalize on how many views Toy Freaks are getting?
It's dishonest and opportunistic at best, and at worst, pretty creepy and weird.
So I'm not gonna link to the videos that I used.
I'll link to Toy Freaks' channel and I've reached out to let them know that this is going on.
I've never before seen this kind of wholesale ripoff of a YouTube channel.
[Bm] Crazy times!
That [G] aside, I hope you enjoyed [F#m] the music today.
Please [F] subscribe and turn [E] on notifications if you haven't already, and I will be back
on Monday [F] with a [B] new video.

Well, I've asked on Twitter for y'all to send me suggestions of YouTube search terms.
I'm gonna go through and find some videos that have very low views, bring them into Ableton, and then make a track.
Oh, there are so many tweets already.
Okay, let's, uh_
Start at the beginning.
Wait, where's the beginning?
Steve Urkel.
I like it.
Put Steve Urkel in.
Let's do this Steve _ Urkel Snapchat.
Look at those big ol' lips.
_ Yeah. _
I like them big ol' lips.
There's definitely a good sample in here.
What else do we wanna do?
Surfboards?
Yeah, sure, why not? _
_ Surfboards.
Oh, I like this [E] thumbnail.
_ _ _ _ [Gm] _ [E] Okay.
I might be sampling someone else's music.
It says in the description, music by Peven Kinell.
Let's do a quick Google.
Who's Peven _ Kinell?
Kinell.
[N] Peven Kinell.
Oh, he's got a cool website.
It's got dots on it.
I don't know much about you, Peven, but I think I'm gonna do some questionable copyright stuff to your music.
Driving, _ screaming.
Oh no.
Real spider attacks, Annabelle freaks out, screaming in truck, not a toy. _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
Okay.
I'm gonna feel bad if I sample this little girl screaming, but wood punching.
I'm doing it.
Only because I think I need some percussion sounds in here.
Here we go.
Punching a box.
This looks like my aesthetic. _
_ Oh, yeah.
_ _ Heaven!
Let's see what happens.
This could be our bass.
_ Sure.
Oh yeah, freaks.
Clearly using oh yeah, freaks.
Don't [G] be scared.
Be scared.
Yeah, we're gonna change don't be scared to be scared.
I guess we're gonna find a cool piano loop in here.
_ Alright, let's take that because it's like just piano on its own which could be nice.
[E] _ _ I'm just taking that little cymbal and kick drum and bass there.
_ [N] _ Yeah, you destroy that box.
_ I _ _ like that too.
_ And then we're going to also EQ some treble out of it.
Let's make this part loop and it sounds so far like this. _
_ Big ol' lips.
So let's get the snare in. _ _
[G#m] _ Okay, so we're going to do three of this one and then one of this one.
And that's [A#] going to be super dope.
Awesome.
Do you guys enjoy seeing me being so frantic trying to produce?
This should be a sport.
Here's what it sounds like so far.
Why am I wasting time showing you this right now?
_ [Bm] We can mix it as we go.
_ Okay, hi-hat or bass.
Uh, whatever sound we come up with [E] next.
_ There's the [F#m] bass sound.
[G] _
[G#] _ _ [D] Oh, that's nice and dirty.
Good job, Pevan.
Is Big Ol' Lips in a key?
_ _ _ _ [E] _ _
Yeah, this is what I want.
And we're going to sidechain this with the kick [G] drum. _ _ _ _
_ _ [F] _ _ _ [G#m] I think this is my favorite one of these I've done so far, guys.
Time check.
I have nine minutes left.
Man, this is exciting for me.
Like, there's no real consequences if I don't do this in half an hour.
But my heart rate is going up.
What do we still got to use [G] here?
_ It's going to be some cute little thing at the end of the loop.
[N] _ _ _ _
_ _ [Em] _ _ What's that bass note?
[E] _
_ It's in key!
Amazing!
Okay, so we're going to throw this in as just like a little bonus snare.
_ _ _ [N] _
What do I still need to use?
Oh, the Big Foot stuff and the Dimple stuff.
Here's what we're going to do.
Filter it a little bit.
_ _ _ _ _ _ Okay, put it in a sampler.
Now we can play it. _
Wait, let's add some distortion to it. _ _ _ _
Three minutes [B] left.
_ [G] _ _ [F#] _ _ [F] _
_ _ [E] _ [N] Oh, but the spider!
Okay, _ _ I'm gonna take this noise, add a filter, and a lot of reverb.
And it's gonna [D#] go_
_ No idea how that's gonna fit in.
[Am] Oh, it's [Bm] 902!
Gotta use Big Foot. _ _
[D] So, _ _ _ _ [Gm] we didn't get quite as far as I wanted to.
If you will permit me to extend my time by 12 extra minutes, I can make this sick!
Oh yeah, [B] freaks!
[G] _ _ [F#] _ _ [F] _ _
_ _ _ [N] Five minutes left.
_ [Fm] _ _ [Em] _ [B] _
Okay, well, I'm gonna call it at 914.
Don't look at my emails.
And I guess I can show you the completed track now.
Be scared.
_ [G] _
_ _ [F#] _ _ [Fm] _ _ [E] _ _
[D] _ _ [Em] _ _ [B] _ _ _ _
[G] _ _ [F#] _ _ [Fm] _ _ [E] _ _
_ [Dm] _ [E] _ [F#] _ _ _ [B] _ _
[G] _ _ [F#] _ _ [F] _ _ [E] _ _
_ [D] _ [E] _ _ _ [B] _ _ _
[G] _ _ [F#] _ _ [F] _ _ [E] _ _
_ [D] _ [E] _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _
_ [F] _ [E] _ _ [F] _ _ [E] _ _
_ [F] Oh [E] _ yeah, freaks!
_ _ [F] _ [E] _ [Fm] _ _ _ [E] _
_ [Fm] _ _ [E] I'm pretty sure a Big Foot would make some noises.
_ _ [F] _ _ _ _ _ [E] _
_ [Fm] _ _ [E] All [N] _ _ _
_ right, so the Big Foot video and the spider video.
