Super Easy Beatles Guitar by Mike Pachelli chords
Start Jamming...
Hey, Mike Pacelli here.
Thanks for tuning this in.
Now, this is going to be a different
lesson than I usually do.
This is for non-guitar players or absolute beginners, or really what
this is for is somebody who doesn't play the guitar at all and wants to do kind of a novelty
thing to surprise their friends and family.
So what I would suggest is that, say you don't
play the guitar at all, I'm going to show you how to play a Beatles song, sorta like
the Beatles, but close enough.
And then like, you practice this, you could practice this
probably one hour, and then at a party or whatever, somewhere where you go where somebody
has a guitar, go grab the guitar and say, yeah, I've been working on a song, and you'll
be able to play a Beatles song.
So again, if you're a guitar player, just don't watch this
because this is going to be so simple.
But if you're like three years old or five, or
you've never played the guitar before, this is perfect for you.
So I'm going to show you
how to play something by the Beatles with basically one finger.
Amaze and amuse your
friends right here.
So, just so you know, we're going to play it in a different key.
It's usually in the key of C on the record, but we're going to play it in the key of G.
But here's how easy this is going to be for you to amaze your family and friends.
This is a guitar neck, and these are called frets.
So this is fret one, fret two, and
fret three.
We're just going to deal with these three frets.
Now, you can take your
first finger, or if you want to do properly, three, two, one.
But you can do it with one
finger.
It might be even easier.
You take your first finger and put it right behind
the third fret, right?
And then you just want to strum three strings, the top skinniest
strings four times.
Okay?
Now what we're thinking is, something in the way she, and then move
it down to the second fret [G] four times, down to the first fret.
So think of the Beatles
song.
Something in the way [F#] she moves, [G] attracts me like [B] no other.
Now you have to take the
same first [Em] finger, instead of pressing down the first string, [C] press down the second string.
And try not to touch the string.
Maybe if you touch it, whatever, but this is the next
chord.
Right?
So you [G] got, something in the way [F#] she moves, [G] attracts me like no [C] other.
Now your friends [F#] who never saw you play the guitar are already falling on the floor loving
it, and you're the hit of the party.
Next chord, from there, you're on that first fret
of the second string, just move it up [Em] a half step.
Okay?
Now listen again.
[G] And we're just
strumming each chord four times, [Em] and just the top three strings.
So [G] you go, in the way
[F#] she moves, [G] attracts me like no [C] other.
Move [C#m] up.
Something in the way.
Okay, now here's
the most difficult chord.
Move [E] this first finger back down, and put your second finger
here, and just play.
[F#] If you can play this chord.
This might be a little hard for a beginner.
But [Am] what I'm doing is, [C] I'm playing on the second fret, first [F#] fret, and second fret.
If you can't get that, just get this, and play two strings.
See this?
Now I'll [G] go real
slow from the beginning.
Something,
[F#] [G]
[C] [C#] something [C#m] in the way.
[F#] Right?
People are falling on the
floor, they can't believe, you're a genius!
Now, this part's, I guess the trickiest.
Again,
you can use one finger, and go on the fourth string, on the second [Em] fret.
Move it down,
pick it up.
And that part is, I don't want to leave her now.
You know I believe in [B] how.
And then, amaze them with this last [Em] lick.
[F] [G] So that's all [E] on the first skinny string,
and play.
[Em] Open, third fret.
You can do this with one finger too.
First [Fm] fret.
[Em] People are
fainting at the party, they think you're amazing!
Again, with the last lick.
[F] [G] So now play the whole
song.
And you'll be a superstar, thanks to your friend Mike.
Goes like this.
Ready?
All one
finger.
Four strums per chord.
Here we go.
[F#]
[G] [C]
[C#] [F#]
[Em]
[G] [B]
[Em] Big finish.
[Fm]
[F#] [Em] Isn't that fun?
[N] Alright, so again,
what I'll do is I'll put the charts and I'll put the tab, you can download it on MikePicelli.com
if you want to see charts and tabs.
Well, if you don't play guitar, I don't know if it's going to
help you, but just work on this, and let me know if you actually do it, and you amaze your friends,
or your wife, or your co-workers, whoever, because you don't play the guitar.
So that's
the whole thing.
Say, let me see if I can play the guitar, and then you'll have a song,
and people will go nuts.
Alright, so I'm Mike Picelli.
Again, go to MikePicelli.com,
drop me a note, always cool to hear from you, and thanks for hanging out with me.
