Today, I'm going to send out a birthday wish to my old pal Waylon Jennings
Waylon was born June 15th
1937 out in West Texas and he sure inspired all of us man
I tell you and just really we love him and miss him.
I know everybody does
I was so intimidated to be around Waylon at first
You know I worked in Chet Atkins band and he and Jesse would
Come to some of our shows or I would be around them and around Chet too and it was so intimidating
But later we became very good friends and I always enjoyed our time together

I got a telegram one time from him when my first Arista single came out
He said Hoss you have the best single on radio.
