There's always some smart alecks back at the door trying to give me a visitor's card whenever
I come in, you know.
Just kind of getting that subtle hint in.
But it's nothing like being at home and it is good to be here.
It seems like the more we try to slow down, it seems like the more that things speed up on us.
I'm thankful the Lord's given us work to do.
But, you know, I kind of like to scrooge up right here.
This is a special place.
And it's sure good to hear the good reports, how the Lord's continuing to bless.
Don't want to take up too much time.
Got a few new songs that I might share with [Am] you.
One, even [Dm] trying to write down the words as the service is going on.
Problem is now I can't read my writing.
And but anyway, [C] got to thinking about the day the Lord saved me.

It was all in the package deal too, you know.
Back home this past week for just a few days at Thanksgiving back at West Virginia
getting the Lord allowed us to make another trip back up there
and back at the little church where we were brought up in.
There we met the Lord.
There Dad taught me to sing more probably in the church than he did at the house.
We spent more [Bb] time there I think.
But I was thinking about how I was singing that song the very moment that Jesus saved my soul.
When I knelt down at that old-fashioned altar, all I knew was I was lost and I needed Jesus.
And I was sure glad that He heard my prayer.
Save me.
You know what?
All along the journey there's been joy and riches that He's unearthed so to speak.
And as you look in the Word of God, I didn't get all put in that song, what all He did for me.
But just got started the very moment He saved my soul.
I've thought so many times how folks are deceived by the devil
and thinking what all they're going to have to give up.
But my, my, how it turns around whenever you come to receive the Lord as your Savior.
You see what all you're missing really.
Amen.
Well, a friend said he wanted to [N] hear one song.
