So we're [Em] at this amazing songwriting camp
where there are [G] artists from all over India
that have come together to write about the heart of [Am] God
and what God is telling us as a nation.
[F] So we're sitting in this room and we're deciding what to write about.
So [Em] we have this whiteboard
and [G] someone's like, hey, healing!
We should write about that or we should write about how [Am] he's humble
or the friendship that God has gifted us.
[F] So we're writing these words down and in my brain,
I kept [Am] thinking that, I mean, I've always thought about
why [G] don't we ever talk about the mother heart of God?
[Am] I was like, and I thought and I was like, hey!
[F] And I put my hand down, I put it down.
And then Vineet looks at me, he's sitting [Em] next to me,
the bassist of Bridge Music.
And he's like, [G] say it.
I was like, no, it's too much.
He's like, say it.
[Am] I was like, no, he's like, Sam, Rachel has something to say.
And I was like, hey, how about we write about the mother heart [F] of God?
And everyone [C] was like, yeah, come on, let's do it.
[Em] I was like, oh man, that's too much pressure.
Anyway, so that goes on the board.
[G] And then later when we're sitting down, [D] you know,
thinking about what [C] to write about,
we pick the mother heart of God and a few other topics.
We come to this room.
So it's Emmanuel, [Em] me, Abyssin, Joel, some other guys sitting [G] around.
And I've never written a Hindi song [Am] before, you know.
So [C] we're sitting down and I'm just [F] enjoying hanging out
with these guys, just like goofing around.
[Em] And then we, Emmanuel suddenly says, [G] he's like, hey guys,
I've got to be honest with you all, I'm not okay.
I [Am] need prayer.
So we just switched.
We're like, okay, we're going to [F] pray for you.
As we are praying for him, I see this image of his [Em] home.
He's from Lucknow.
In Lucknow, and I see an open [G] veranda and I see his entire family sitting there.
And I [Am] see God making rotis like a mother for his family.
[F] And I can see God put [Em] butter on it and I can smell the butter on the fresh rotis.
And he's just [G] like giving it, you know, I could see God as a mother doing [Am] that.
And I felt like God said, I'm the mother who feeds his [F] children.
And so as I got this [Em] revelation, I felt like, you know,
God wanted us to know that God [G] is taking care of our families,
like a mother would.
[Am] And so we were like, let's write about it.
And so [F] we just started thinking about, you know, I mean,
[Em] Emmanuel was missing his mom, really.
That's what he [G] needed prayer for, because he was away from her.
We started talking about how [Am] God's been there for us.
And how we've [F] seen that through our moms, through the way [Em] they've loved us.
You know, and so all these lyrics, [G] everything that we wrote about,
was just like these memories of [Am] how Abbasin would, you know,
when he's like stressed or [F] whatever, he would just go and sit on his mom's tummy
[Em] and feel that tummy and just feel good.
And I do the same too.
And so we wrote about that.
[Am] Sukhoon hai teri godi mein.
And even [F] about, there's another lyric that says, you know,
[Em] Par waaki hai, choti si choti baatun mein.
That lyric was [D] basically about how my mom, when [Am] I was coming to Hyderabad to record,
and my voice [F] was not that great, she made like [D] a ginger shot for me.
[Em] And she put it in my bag.
And then when I landed, she called me, she's like,
[G] hey, just put the ginger shot in the fridge because it might get spoiled.
[Am] And I started thinking about how God loves us like that, [F] you know,
and how there aren't so [F] many, we [Em] don't recognize,
even like, [G] there's so many aspects of God we still have to discover.
And [Am] especially through how God has honored us [F] by saying that,
hey, you are made in my [D] image and [Em] likeness.
Like the womb is made in this image [G] and likeness.
And we feel that, we just really felt like even putting a [Am] word in there that says,
gar kisame se, like, [F] that God has honored the womb,
not just by, [Em] you know, Jesus Christ, you know, being with [G] Mary,
but just the way he loves [Am] us, is like how a mother loves her child in her womb.
You know, that's how he cares about us.
