Oh, I feel another glory coming on, you know.
And that's what we came here to do this morning, to magnify the name of Jesus.
Well, I'll tell you, if you leave here this morning and say, Boy, didn't the cathedrals
do a good job?
[F] Then you've missed our point in being here.
But if you leave here this morning saying, Boy, didn't we magnify the name of Jesus?
And that's what it's all about.
One day the Master touched my life, [Eb] blotted out my yesterdays and wrote my [Db] name in the
Lamb's Book of Life.
[E] Let me do this song and dedicate it to Dr.
John.
If I was a tenor singer, I'd want to sing just like that little pipsqueak right over there.
I wouldn't want to look like that.
He wouldn't want to look like you either.
Oh, shut up.
[G] That's a fact.
[B] I hate young people.
[Bb] [E] I want you to listen.
And Danny Thunderbird sings this song about a touch from the Lord.
[G] And one day Jesus touched my [Eb] life.
And as I said a moment [E] ago, and I've [B] never been the same since the touch of the Master's hand.
Usually you don't feature a tenor singer early in the morning.
You either feature the baritone or the bass.
But they say when you got a good horse, ride him.
You know, somebody [G] touch him.
[Em] [G]
Many years he walked in darkness as he groped along the [Dm] streets.
With [C] his hands stretched out [Bm] for [Em] pennies or [A] for just a bite to [C] [Am] eat.
It's [G] the story [G] of the blind man who met Jesus on [C] his way.
As [Bm]
[Em] [Am] this God first [G] heard him say, [C] somebody touch me.
[G] Somebody touch me.
[A] I was blind but praise his [D] name.
I [G] now can see.
I [C] was in darkness when [G] Jesus found me.
But since [Dbm] he touched [F]
me, I am [G] now a free.
[Ab] [Fm]
You know, I [G] wasn't going to say nothing right [Ab] here, but the Lord just spoke to me.
[Fm] And I want to share [G] this with you if I can real [Ab] quickly.
At 13 years of age, I gave my [Ab] heart and life to Jesus [Db] Christ.
But until then, I was blind [Fm] and crippled by sin and didn't know [Bb] it.
I'm a preacher's kid.
[Eb] And I [Ab] learned how to play church.
I learned [Fm] how to be something that I [Eb] really wasn't.
[Ab] I had a lot of head knowledge about Jesus [Ab] Christ, but I didn't [Db] know everything in my heart.
[Cm] And I'm so thankful this morning that I can stand [Bbm] here.
I'm [Ab] so glad that he touched my [Db] life.
[Ab] It's all because of his saving grace that I'm able to stand here this morning [Fm] and sing the gospel music that he has allowed me to do so.
And I am so honored to [Ab] be here and just be with you on Sunday morning and just worship our Lord and Savior.
The one who touched all of our lives.
Somewhere in life, we've been touched by the master.
And if you hadn't been touched, if you don't have the salvation that we're singing about this morning, today is the day of salvation.
Listen to the second verse.
One day he touched that crippled man.
And today he [G] walks again.
[C] And now the [Db] master saw [Cm] with pleasure [Fm]
that he [Bb] had labored not [Eb] in [Bb] vain.
[Ab] Like the story of that poor crippled [Ab] man.
I once was bound [Db] by a rope, but since my master [Cm] came, oh praise [Fm] his name.
And today [Eb] [Db]
[Ab] somebody touched me.
[Ab] Somebody touched me.
[Eb] I was blind, but praise his name.
I [Ab] now can see.
[Ebm] I [Db] was in darkness when [Ab] Jesus found me.
But [G] since he [Bb] touched [Eb] me, I [Ab] now am [Db] [Ab] free.
In darkness [Ab] when Jesus found [Fm] me.
But [Bbm] since he touched [Eb] me, I [Ab]
[Bb] now am [Db] free.
Thank God I am free.
