The last record we put out was our Commonwealth problem from 2014
yeah, a double record our second double record and each of us had a side of the record and
_ Thanks to everybody who came out and saw us on tour and bought that record _
This year we're going to continue our reissue series which started in 2012 with our
1994 record it's twice removed and it got a deluxe box set and this year we're going to do
_ One chord to another it's 2016.
It's the 20.
It's 20 years since we made that record.
I can't believe it.
Anyhow, I feel very old so
_ The way that we did the deluxe treatment with twice removed
We're going to do the same for one chord to another this year and also follow it with a tour and the deluxe box looks really
Nice.
Whoa, what do you get in this box set J?
Well like the twice removed box set
There's gonna be three LPs.
The first album is one chord to another remastered from the original tapes and
The second LP in the box set is called the outtakes
Whoa, this outtakes LP is crazy
It's 11 songs that really never resurfaced later in our career and it's sort of it's like a lost Sloan record
really that kind of was recorded sort of between
Twice removed and one course another not sure if you like those records, but it's that era the third album
I feel like we've got a lot of requests for this over the years.
It's called recorded live at a Sloan party
it was a record of
It's kind of like us at a party with a bunch of our friends
Recording a number of covers of songs we really like and it originally came out in 1997, but only in the United States
But now we've repressed it on vinyl and it's gonna be the third record as part of the box set
Does it have beautiful new artwork?
It has beautiful new artwork.
Now the album is a bit of an homage to the Beach Boys Party record
So now the beautiful new artwork created by Christopher Murphy is an homage to the Beach Boys Party record
So it all finally comes together
also, there's a seven inch a couple of demos of _
Songs that ended up on one quarter another one
I think I played drums on one which is my first and last time playing drums on a Sloan
And for good reason, you know last time we put a little letter, but this time we did a really nice little fancy
It seemed like 1996 was really the era when there was a lot of fanzines about underground Canadian bands and bands from the East Coast
so we decided to pick a bunch of the
coolest looking articles and neatest looking art and make a little fanzine to go with the
To go inside the box set.
Did you really wear this?
I unfortunately did.

No, I'm not actually I have it in there
_ Oh, and then of course the I think I mentioned this as the mint on the pillow last time is a lovely 32 page
12 by 12 booklet that's sort of like an oral history of recording the album and touring and _
_ lots of photos of the time and posters and ephemera and lyric booklets and
Sort of commentary on each of the songs as well _ _ _ and also as a bonus in 20 of the box sets
There's going to be I guess you call it an Easter Egg.
Is that what people call them?
