[G]
It was one thing to sit down and write all the music, but now that I'm actually getting
these different artists to come in [C] and actually sing and put the effort in, it is [A] a little surreal.
[G] I think the bass guitarist record, I think it's an album for all types of people.
It's a great album to be in.
With [Gm]
my record, basically I just put together a [C] bunch of [A#] material and I've been sort of
farming it out to different singers.
I got a call one day and said, what would you think about [F#m] singing on Slash's new [F] record?
Of course I was very [Gm] excited.
[C] I've always been a huge fan and when he called I was just like, [G] of course, [E] I'd love to do it.
[B]
[C#m] [A] The
[Am] [C#m] [E] song had that good [Em] head [A]-bobbing spirit, my girlfriend's [G] bobbing, and [D] I was [E] bobbing,
and he's bobbing, and it's called We're All Gonna [G#m] Die.
[A] [C#] Adios.
There'll be [B] a song that I think, oh, this one would be great for [C#] so-and-so if they're
into it, [D#m] so I'll send it [B] to them and if they like it, we'll get together and arrange it
and [C#] put it together.
This fucking record better sell.
It's great [E] having Ozzy doing [B] this, he's been so enthusiastic.
[F#] It sounds great and [C#] it's been fun just working with him.
[B] Do we all dare, [F#] yeah.
[C#m] We never had computers when we were young.
[E] We'd put a [B] bucket of coal in the back of the [C#m] desk and get on with it.
Fucker, [E] I hate [B] being in the side.
[F#] The input from whichever singer it is, like I said, they're all individual, have their
own individual style, and so I learned to adapt to how they work, basically [F#m] a collaboration
[B] between the two.
[F#] Maybe on this album we can get up and do a choreographed number on [D] stage.
[A]
[E] [G] [E]
[C] [G] I'm like an engineer's nightmare.
My voice is like my personality, very [G#] challenging.
You know it's all rock and roll, [Am] but it's different types.
[G]
[A] We sit there and watch [Dm] him do the [C] guitars [Gm] and the tracks [D] falling together and I [C] think
we got something [G] good, we got good melodies and [F] we're working on it.
Almost all the songs [G] definitely [A] have a raw kind of approach as far as recording the drums
and recording the guitars and [D] bass.
[Am] It's good to be here [D] now and to finish the [C] song and hear it and [F] go through the process.
[Am] This is going to be the biggest, most [A] spectacular moment in all time.
That's an understatement.
[Am] We've had a good session.
It's a [D] fun song [Am] and it's a rockin' song.
You know, [F] shit I just jammed on a Slash album, you know what I mean?
You [Em] got a problem with that?
Sure.
[Gm] [F#]
[A] [Em] [F#] It sounds great and [A] it's been fun [F#] just working with him.
[A] [E] [F#m]
He's just one of the icons of rock and roll that's been around.
The way that head metal and music over the years has had such a huge influence on [A] it.
[E] [F#m]
[A] [E] [F#] [B] Heaven [A#] and God on high, buckle up your seatbelt, we're all gonna die.
[G] [A#]
[N] We're really putting a lot of effort into making this as [C] best it can be.
So it's really sort of special.
[G] [Gm]
[A#] Buy the fucking thing.
If they don't, I'll find out who they are and go and kill their favourite pet.
