My name is Jackson Kincheloe.
I am Sister Schmarrow, Arlie Kincheloe.
My name is Bram Kincheloe.
I play harmonica.
I sing the songs, I write the songs,
dance around.
I am the drummer.
I rock [Eb]
in the [Gm] back most of the [F] time.
[G]
[Ab] [Eb]
[Db] [Eb]
[Db] [Eb] We are brother and sister and
our father is Bram's [Dbm] father's identical twin brother, [Eb] so we're cousins.
[Ab]
[Bb] Brosons.
Yeah, we [Ab]
share half of the [Bb] same genetics, so [Eb] obviously there's a resemblance.
[Abm] In the eyes mostly.
You can't see his eyes.
Yeah, so [Ab] it's a family affair.
Our parents, [Abm] my mom, our mom is a singer and our dad obviously is a drummer,
so they've [Gm] always played in bands together.
And I was [D] like kind of following them around when I was a little kid because [Db] you know these guys were off like being
[Ab] bigger and older.
I'm the youngest of four [Eb] and so I was tagging along with the folks because I was kind of a dork.
[Dm] And I [Bb] was, I think I was nine years old when I first sat in with their band and sang some songs.
[Eb] And then from there just kind of went.
I think I started [F] writing songs
[Eb] really, [C] I started [Dbm] teaching myself how to play [Ab] some piano when I was like [Eb] 17.
[Bbm] So then I think [F] shortly after that I wrote my first
[Bb] [G] which yeah was
I don't know.
It was [Eb] cool.
What was the first song?
[Ab] Do you remember?
I [Bb] don't know if it has a name.
Watch me on the [Ab] radio.
Watch me on the [Bb] radio.
[Ab] The Sound of Dirt was
[Eb] [Db] more, it took, we [Eb] had a lot more time to sort of think about it and work [Bbm] on it and with [Ab] it
[Eb] and with the song before we really [Db] like got, [Abm] you know, nailed it [Eb] down in the studio.
So I [Ebm] have, you know, we played all these songs
for at least a year
[Bb] if not more.
So they were really sort of worked out and road tested and we had definitely found [Eb] exactly
the niche that [Ab] every song sort of [Fm] wanted to live in.
[Ab] We have a four-piece horn section.
We have Johnny Butler on baritone saxophone, Ryan Snow on trombone,
Phil Rodriguez on the trumpet and JJ Pyers on the alto saxophone.
And [Bb] all but Phil on the trumpet have been there since the beginning.
Like [Bbm] pretty much the first rehearsal, I [Abm] think.
I mean definitely Ryan and JJ, but [Bb] it's been the [Abm] same crew
[B] since then.
[F] And on bass we have Aidan Carroll and on guitar Sasha Brown.
They were obviously also there.
So it was kind of one of those [Eb] things
[Db] you know, we had this great idea and we [Abm] had all these like hand-picked [Ab] players and some of them
we have known for a long time.
I mean Bram grew up with
[N] Kim J and Ryan in California.
And [C] we had known them because he would bring them to the parties at our house.
It's all relatable back to the day.
It is.
To my dad's house and my cat's girls.
We try to like all sort of get together
before like right before we go on the stage and be like, yeah, we can do it.
[Ab] Or something like that, but I [F] think for me anyway personally,
[Bb] it [Db] only takes me about 10 seconds [Eb] once I step onto the stage to like [Ab] let just everything
[Eb] that's happening and everything that the [Ab] boys are like creating around me [Eb] to sort of get me
ready and get me going like [Ab] get my, you [Eb] know, blood flowing.
And then [Bb] as soon as that happens, then it's just [Eb] like
Every night, I mean we play the same music, but every night [Ab] it's different because of the [Eb] crowd.
It's always different crowd, you know.
[Bbm] And within the [Ab] course of [Eb] three different shows, you have three completely different [Bb] experiences.
And that in turn keeps you that [Eb] fresh, you know.
[Abm] Even if there's nobody there, we're like, ha ha, [F] we're gonna kill it!
Just so [Db] if you, however many people go and tell your however many friends
and then we have that many [Eb] more people the next time, you know.
I mean you can't slack off because then everybody's like, yeah, bands, whatever.
Having that motivation to make every show exciting
and, you know, give our 111%
is that, you know, just that in itself.
Just that motivation to make the show that good is, you know, can get you there, I think.
And it's the [F] funnest thing to do in the [G] world.
Right.
[Abm] That's true.
Anytime.
