Hey, what's up you guys?
Marty Schwartz here from GuitarJams.com.
Hope you guys are doing [N] great out there.
I'm going to teach you an easy, easy song.
It's the same four chords over and over, but it's a beautiful song.
So songs don't have to be complicated to be a great song in my mind.
Amazing vocals, amazing lyrics, it comes from an honest place, so all those things I think are good.
And then we've got four chords to break it down, two different ways too.
So let's just zoom in and do it.
Oh, oh, if you're working on your strumming though, my buddy Tim Pierce has this awesome
strumming lesson down there, so check that out too.
But let's [D] zoom in and we'll learn this one right now.
Here we go.
All right, this is the same four chords over and over.
I'm going to teach it to you without a capo, but then I'll show you what the chords are
with a capo.
With a capo they're even easier.
But here they are.
And I'll give you a rhythm too.
So it's a D chord,
[A]
so the classic D to a classic A, then the regular [E] E.
[D] [A]
[Em] [E] [F#]
[Em] [D] [A]
[Em] [E] [F#]
[D] [G] [A]
[E] [F#]
[E] So that final chord is [F#] an F sharp, [A#] which is that note right there, minor, F sharp minor.
So you'd bar that second fret and then that would look like an [F#m] E minor.
So [F#]
[D] that's the final chord.
[E]
[D] Now [A]
[Em] [E] [F#]
[D] [A]
[E] [Em] [F#]
[G] [Dm] [A]
[E] [Em] [F#]
[F#m] [D] [E]
with the capo, what we would do is we would put it on the second fret and you'd
do the same rhythm and then it would be these chords.
You'll hear it with your ear that it still sounds the same.
[D]
So a [A] C to a G to [E] a D and then an E [F#m] minor.
And hey, look at that.
See that E minor?
How that capo's there on the second fret just like that F sharp minor chord we were playing.
So that's how it relates.
[D]
A C up a whole step is a D.
So it's the same as that.
C, [A] G, [E] D, [F#m] E minor, [D] C, C, C, [A] C, G, then [E] a D, [F#m] E minor, [D] C [A] to the G, [E] then a D [F#m] minor, [B]
[D] D, [Em] [A] E,
A, [E] then an E.
[Em] [F#]
[E] [A]
[Dm]
[E]
[F#] [D]
[A#] All right, there was the lesson.
Thanks for hanging out.
I really appreciate it.
I've got the strumming lesson down there and like Facebook and all that stuff.
So thank you for that extra support.
And not only that, I really hope to see you here in another video in the near future.
So can't wait.
See you there.
[E] [Em] [F#m]
[G] [D] [Em] [A]
[E] [F#m]
[Em] [D] [G] [A]
[E] [Em] [F#m]

[D] that's the final chord.
[E]

[Em] [E] [F#]

[D] D, [Em] [A] E,
A, [E] then an E.
[Em] [F#]
