I'll tell you a funny story about this song,
because we don't ever do it, but we're doing it
because, I don't know, for the hell of it, really.
We just started doing it a couple of gigs back,
and it's been fun for us to do.
This song is called Members Only.
And my buddies and I were making the Glove Sessions
in New York City, which was two albums ago.
And it was a really weird time.
There was this real ominous threat
by this guy, Saddam Hussein.
And there was this rumbling of rumor
about this Eastern leader who was making threats
towards New York City.
And the song was really sort of about that.
There was about probably two weeks of real fear in there.
And it became sort of the inspiration for this song,
and nothing ever happened.
But it was a really strange time.
And the last verse talks about my friend Greg,
who was the drummer, who was a bit of a,
he was one of those guys who would always say,
oh, it's all good, when you knew it wasn't all good.
It's never always all good.
So I got really tired of that phrase.
What about it?
Hi, Greg.
And anyway, it's about that.
It's about sort of having this,
oh, it can never happen sort of attitude.
And so it's called Members Only.
