Sounds like you need to go to my site
I'll tweak you up
This is the intro riff to sharp-dressed man
If you want to ever hear a really nasty blues guitar player Billy Gibbons
Is really kicks ass man that guy can really play the blues.
He's a very good blues guitarist
This is a very signature guitar riff.
It's not that hard to play
It's a bit tricky, but it's not that hard to play.
It's based in C pentatonic minor
Uses double stops or double notes like two strings at once and it starts on the 8th fret.
It's based on this
[C]
[E] [C]
[A] [F] [Em]
[E] It's based on that C pentatonic minor scale and it starts [F] out
[Eb] With the third and fourth string together on the 10th fret
You'll notice that I'm barring across
But it's only to mute the other strings underneath it so they don't ring out because when we have the distortion on
It'll ring out quite a [Eb] bit
[B] So first the first two notes or the first two groups of notes should I say the first two you can call them diads
Double [F] stops rhythm riffs, whatever you want to call it.
It's a two note thing right where I'm using the fourth and third string
[Ebm]
fourth and [F] third string for these first two [Bb] moves
Then I cross over the [C] fifth and fourth string
[Bb] The trick is to only hit those two strings like for the first two moves to hit the [F] fifth and fourth string
[Eb] And then for this last move to hit the fifth and [C] the fourth
[Eb] [C] It's like a scale of double [Eb] notes out of this
This pentatonic scale see [C] it lines up really nicely
And then it's the bass riff that goes with it
And the only [G] place you can play it is [C]
and so this is the most convenient way to do it
[Gm]
[C] [F] This is the easiest and the best [Gm] way.
[E] [A]
[C]
[G] [E]
[N]
[E]
[C]
[Gm] [E] Ah
Sorry, I got a little carried away [F] there
All right, that's C pentatonic minor though, by the way one more time.
I'll do the riff really slow without the distortion
[Eb]
[G] [Bb] [C] [Eb]
[G] [C]
Okay now [Ab] full speed with the distortion on
[C]
Okay, I [E] won't get out of control on you this time man
[B] But hey if you want to get out of control you got to get over to my riff ninja site
Get on over there quick and hurt your little butt over there so you can get some more riffs.
All right

Hook you up with some more lessons.
