How we doing guys?
We're going to [N] look at Saturday Night.
It's played in regular tuning
up here on the 12th fret and we're effectively barring over here but the way I do it is I'll
pull this finger over so I'm almost doing an A shape with those three strings there
[Em] and just really muting the other strings.
[A] [N] But what I'm really doing is I'm only wanting
to play two notes.
I want to play the 13th fret [Em] here on the 2nd string with [Am] this finger
and the 14th [Ab] fret on the 3rd string.
I'm only playing these two strings and I'm coming on
[G] and off.
So when I do the two strings just with the bar on you get that sound and when
I put these two [F] fingers on you get that sound.
[N] So you start off with the two fingers on and
then you pull off like [F] this.
[G] [F]
[G] [F] [G] [Dm]
I find it useful to keep this finger quite well on the [N] 4th
string.
If you accidentally hit it, at least it hits the right note and it would sound
[G]
like
[N] in fact some people like playing it with that deliberately.
It's a [G] fuller sound.
[A] Or with the two [G] strings, [F] [G]
[N] choose whatever you think sounds best for your own set.
So we're
keeping [Em] that shape and we're going to do it [Bb] twice like this.
[D] We're going to [G] go
[Dm] [B] [N] you're
coming down to the 10th fret for your bar, same shape.
[Eb] [F] [Eb]
[D] So you're [E] going [F] 2 on and then
you're going to do a hammer on [Eb] and then down [Ab] here to the 5th fret [Gbm] and you're going to hammer
on after [C] doing the open.
[Bb] So the first [C] one is a hammer on [Dm] [C] and then a pluck and then another
hammer on.
[Bb] [F] So it's quite easy.
Do it again.
[G] [F]
[G] [F] [Eb] [F] [C]
[Dm] [C] [Eb] And then you [F] do it again.
[Em] [F] [G] [F]
[Eb] [F] [C]
[Dm] [C] So you're going
to do that again.
Then once you're into the chorus, you're just really doing power chords
up here.
So I'm going to be on the 4th and 5th string.
[G] 10th fret 5th string, 12th fret
on the 4th string.
I normally extend this finger over here.
More to mute the top one
but again if you [F] accidentally hit it, at least it'll be playing the right thing.
[G]
[F]
[C]
[G]
So you're
going to do that.
That's how you do the verses and you just repeat that.
[F]
[C]
[G]
It's just the same
pattern.
You're just doing power chords on the [C] 10th, the [Ab] 8th [D] and the [C] 5th and then on
the 3rd.
[Eb] Then when we come to the chorus, you're going to come back up and do the same
kind of pattern but this time instead of playing the 2nd and 3rd string, you're doing [E] the 2nd
[Fm] and 4th string.
So this finger is still going on and off the 13th fret but this [Ab] finger is
still [C] on the 14th fret but up on the 4th string.
[G] Instead of this sound, [C]
you get this
sound.
[G] [Eb] So it's subtly different.
[Db] Slightly more major than the other more screechy sound
but you're just doing the same thing where we do it here and then we go down for the
other patterns.
[Em] So then [G]
[C] [Gb] down [Dm] to the 10th,
[Bb] [F] [Bm] then down [F] to the [C] 5th.
[F] [C] [B] [Bb]
[C] [G] [C] [G] [Em]
[G] [B] So put it together [C] and
that last bit sounds
[G] [Bb] [F]
[Bb] [F] [Bb] [F] [C]
[N]
and then you just repeat it.
And that's the 3 bits you really
need to put that song together.
You've got the intro, [A] the power chords for the chorus,
for the verse rather and the other riff for the choruses.
And that should help you put
that [G] song together.
Alright, [C] take care guys.

[G] [B] So put it together [C] and

[G] [Bb] [F]
[Bb] [F] [Bb] [F] [C]
[N]
and then you just repeat it.
