[Bb]
[G] I first started out when I was like 14.
[F] That was kind of when I realised that I really [C] wanted to take music seriously
and that was going to be [Bb] my career choice.
I moved to the Brit [G] School from my old [Fm] school when I was [Bb] 14
and then [Fm] I met a few guys there who were [C] rappers and MCs
[Bbm] and we kind of [Bb] started writing together.
[C] We did a showcase in [Bb] Peckham for [Eb] like a local radio station
[Cm] and Tiny Temple was performing there and we were [C] performing there.
He was like the headline and [Eb] I was definitely like the first person on [Ab] stage.
[Bbm] [Fm] And then my [C] friend, once the whole night was over, my friend called me over
and was [Bb] like, sing to Tiny.
So I sung to him [C] and he got my number
and then from there [Bb] he just asked me to [F] do a few [C] showcases with him.
[Bb] I did Wireless Festival with him [C] and like was just singing ad-libs
and like hooks and just basically [Bb] being this hype girl.
And then from there [C] his manager took me on, Dumi, who's now my [F] manager.
So I've been with Disturbed in London since I was [Fm] 14 and now 20.
[Ab]
[Bbm] In my live performance I tend to bring a lot [Am] of energy and [Bbm] definitely a vibe.
I like to go on stage and just [G] be myself and just like make jokes about myself.
Something [Bb] always ends up going wrong with my outfit.
So I'm always just [C] ended up making jokes about that.
But generally just good music.
[Eb] [Cm] There's some songs that are definitely harder to sing [G] though,
like this song [Bbm] Memory that I wrote for my stepdad.
[C] It's one that I found really difficult to sing,
[Bb] especially on the [Bbm] KEB tour [C] with the four bands
because I always found myself getting really overwhelmed
just [Bb] because the song means so much to me.
[C]
[Bb] So my EP, Lemongrass and [C] Limelies, that just came out
[Gm] is mostly [Bbm] inspired [Fm] by relationships,
[G] heavily inspired by my ex.
[Bbm] And it's [Fm] just very, [G] just inspired by [Fm] heartbreak.
I [G] knew what I was writing about and every song has a purpose [F] for me.
I can listen to it and it almost is like [G] therapy for me.
Like if I wouldn't have written the song Memory,
[Bb] I don't think I would have grieved in the same way about [C] losing someone
as I did.
[Bb] My aspirations for the end of [C] the year, for like the rest of the year even,
[Fm] probably just get the bulk of my album [G] down,
have a really great summer, performing at festivals
and yeah, [C] just make some really good music.
