Anything else so wrong?
All that [G] you know
Has [Em] been shut for decadence and [C] passed in a glow
[D] Other beautiful strangers [G] whisper your name
And [Em] they feel like [C] they're nowhere
[Am] Larger than life's [Em] real picture
In [A] a universe made up [C] of walls
[G] You have been trapped in [D] the same room
[G] Knowing it all will [D] come down
[G] Somewhere where [Bm] you'll next be born
[C] And they'll let you come [G] home
Please [D] come home
[Am] [G]

[Am] [G]
[D] And both here and the [G] world stops to stare
[Em] You mesmerize all who [C] walk along the wall
A [D] little spotlight that falls for [G] wherever you [Bm] go
[Em] And you light up the air and [C] you know
[Am] Larger than life's [Em] real picture
[A] In a universe made up [C] of walls
[G] It [D] takes you along
[G] Knowing it all will [D] come down
[G] Somewhere below [Bm] you'll next be born
And [C] they'll let you come [G] home
Please [D] come home

Thank you.
I got most of it done before I had her, knowing that she'd be a huge distraction.
And she is, in the best of ways.
But it really changes your world in every way imaginable.
I lost my mind for a little while.
I really did.
I sort of felt like
I breastfed.
And every time she latched on, a little bit of my brain seeped out through the boobie-mole.
And I'm still waiting for it to come back.
They say it does, but I don't know.
And it's a real challenging time, even for the strongest of relationships.
And I sort of felt like my husband got the SHIT into the stick there for a while.
And I have to spell it out these days, because I'm trying to curb my potty mouth.
Just the other day, my little girl looked up at me and said,
God damn it, Mommy.
And I thought, oh no, I've been trying to be so good, and obviously it's not working out very well.
So I'm curbing the potty mouth.
But my husband, my loving, dear, patient husband, who put up with me through all this insanity,
I thought I'd better do something really nice for him.
So I wrote him a love song.
And for the first time in my career, I managed to write a happy one.
