Hello everybody out there in YouTube land.
At least I hope there's somebody out there listening.
The song I'm about to sing is an old German song.
It was first recorded in 1961 by a lady by the name of Lolita.
Then recorded in 1962 by another German, a fellow named Freddie Quinn.
They both had pretty big hits on it.
Then Petula Clark recorded it in French and in English in 1962 or 1963.
She had a pretty good hit on it.
Mostly it's been sung by ladies, but Freddie Quinn had a pretty good hit, like I said.
I've noticed recently on YouTube lots of other guys have done this,
so I think I'm going to give it a shot and see what you guys think.
Sailor, stop your [Eb] roaming.
