He went to it.
I think he wanted a little social interaction.
Anyway, he left me with my drink and the band played.
And the [A#] band stopped playing and the lead [E] singer said,
anyone want to come on down, there's a room full of musicians.
So before I could put my hand up, from a little alcove in the corner,

and a couple of other songs.
But then he said, I'd like to do a song.
I can't do it.
I'd like to do a song I wrote for the Pointer Sisters,

and they went to join [E] Stevie Wonder.
And they jammed until three in the morning.
And I was like, it's a true story.
